Hah, I got into Guitar Hero when it came out but promptly had to stop playing it because it was messing my eyes up (I could see the shadow of a scrolling fretboard in my vision for hours after playing). It was fun while I did play it though 🥹
Its pretty cool hearing the kind of questions students have in general 🙂 one piece of advice I would certainly give anyone looking to start playing guitar is; don’t just buy a cheap pre-loved guitar and start trying to play it (a mistake I made). Go to a guitar store and try some out first to get an idea of what works best for you… even if you don’t buy one right away. It’s also a good way to get advice or ask questions about cost etc.
Another positive for acoustics is you won’t be surprised when start playing it as acoustic strings are thicker than electrics. A lot of people I know don’t like acoustic simply because they think it hurts more than electric.
I love Weezer. Green album is so good, Islands in the Sun is such a great tune, that and Hash Pipe takes me back to my teen years. It still blows my mind that Ric Ocasek produced the Blue album. These demo deep dive vids are great, so cool to see the bare bones of a song.
Aaaahhh I love Def Leppard in general so anything by them is a win in my eyes. Think I’d add at least one ZZ Top song in there 😄 oh! And Lenny Kravitz - Are you going my way.
@@Growth-and-Music I’ll bet with your experience you could adapt almost anything 🙂 I wouldn’t have pinned Hysteria as a solo acoustic. Could be an interesting challenge for ya to adapt something you wouldn’t normally choose.
@@luxangelsong Most people don’t! After doing it for a while and experimenting with certain songs, some go over and work well solo acoustic better than you may think and so just simply don’t which is what’s really interesting about it!
You’ll laugh but this is the first time I’ve heard this riff. I think the demo version has a raw charm about it… obviously the final one sounds more polished but I dunno. Got a thing for the demo one weirdly 😎
Nicely played! I actually really liked the demo versions as well, thought both parts sounded pretty cool. Gotta go with what ended up being on the album though.
