great tutorial right there bud. i am thinking to use arch instead of ubuntu server, do you think it's a good idea or should i just stay with ubuntu server?
I like the Keep it Simple Stupid approach to my videos the most. Wasn’t always like this but I agree that background music is completely unnecessary to get the point across. I have had better retention rates with simple video editing than with videos with lots of fancy effects and editing. I am a fan of channels that have simple but authentic personalities and editing.
@@NatesZone I'm binge watching your content. I am delighted I found you!! I really enjoy your approach to videos and your personality matches mine so perfectly!
Love to see your setup is more functional. If I had it my way I would love to have a similar setup to yours! Your looking so healthy these days! Congrats my friend!
Hey Nate! Fadedperson here, had to change my account but it’s still me😅 I was wondering if you still had your Minecraft server up and maybe I could possibly join? If not that’s okay but it would be really cool 👌
I love the organizing you did Nate! I also prefer things being organized so that was nice to see. And it was fun to see 3d prints being used for the "spaghetti monster" box and the computer 👍
While I definitely appreciate the FULL tutorial (downloading and installing windows, setting up the virtual machine, even the troubleshooting with errors), it would be nice if you had chapter timestamps somewhere in the video. I just needed the multicraft part as I'm running this on Windows Server 2022 Datacenter edition. Otherwise, great video! Didn't even know Ghost Spectre was a thing, I might look into that for a future rig!
Hey Nate! I have bene wanting to build a budget editing only pc with around 256gb of ram and I was just wondering if you upgraded your motherboard or does the p520 actually come with a upgradable motherboard with 256gb capacity? Cheers
The P520 comes with only one motherboard model. The motherboard actually supports up to 512gb of DDR4 ECC Ram. It doesn’t support regular desktop ram. The motherboard is a proprietary design but if it breaks a replacement isn’t too expensive. But it depends on the market and where you’re located. I don’t know how the market will be in the future or if these parts will be harder to find years from now. But it is still a great price to performance machine. I went with 256gb because I couldn’t justify the price of 512gb at the time. Hope this helps! Cheers! :)
@@NatesZone Thank you so much! Im also wondering what type of ram would I buy in order to upgrade it, vengance, kingston, corsair, etc? And would it even be possible to grab all the pieces and stick it into a new case? Appreciate it :D
Brand name doesn't really matter. But I would greatly recommend buying only one particular model of RAM from only one company. I've had problems mixing ECC RAM in the past with different brands/models. ECC RAM is used for servers. So there is a difference from regular RAM for desktop computers. The P520 only supports up to 2666Mhz DDR4 ECC RAM. Anything faster and it would be a waste of money. Unfortunately, it would be quite a challenge to move all the components of a P520 to a new computer case as many parts are proprietary and would require modification to fit into an ATX form factor case. I would just leave it alone as the P520 tower is more than adequate at its job. Ultimately it's your choice. :)
tried the installer on a proxmox lxc behind a wireguard connection, can't cant wings to communicate to panel it just gives me a connection refused error over 443, might have to do more messing around but have spent two nights on it 😅 UPDATE: Fixed it by using my lxc's local IP rather than a domain, followed rest of tutorial, then ran wg-quick up to get my wireguard connected and used the wireguard IP in allocations. works great. Also managed to get it behind my nginx proxy manager so now everythings on SSL, super happy.
It was great to see the process of you installing the monitor and monitor rack Nate! I would guess that the other monitors in the setup were installed the same way. Looking at the end result, it was worth it 👍
I watched one video before this one. The video said you needed two machines to run this and the servers and was flying through the set up expecting everyone to know Linux like the back of their hand. This video was shorter, to the point, explained everything that I needed to understand.
I love my P520. i bought it from ebay for 150 w/ a 2135 and a 900w PSU. I installed 128gb of RAM and a 7800 GRE. It kicks ass now! i'll be looking at cpu upgrades now!
Hey, I got myself a beelink mini pc S12 (not pro) and the server already crashes when trying to explode 300k tnt, is this normal ? Are there specific optimizations you use ? My bottleneck is the CPU I think.
I did a Ryzenplex build. I also did a LGA 1200 build in an Inspiron 620 case and an AM5 build in a T1700 case, but haven’t uploaded those. With my Dimension 2400, I want to use one of those Frankenstein Xeon boards from AliExpress. I really wish that the PSU featured would go back to $29.99 again (I have two of them), and I also used to buy those PNY SATA SSDs (128GB was under $16 but they seem to be discontinued).

The error you're encountering indicates that the version of Java used to compile the Minecraft server (class file version 65.0) is newer than the version of Java you're currently running (which only supports up to class file version 61.0). Download and Install Java 21. Update Your System to Use the New Java Version and Verify the Installation. I hope I've helped!
I still find the server rack very fascinating! No doubt it took some time to build. I love that computers are being reused for it 👍 Also more frog footage! 🐸
Love the Kasa outlets! They have been the most reliable ones I've used. I use them to monitor my servers/PCs/power draw in the rack and to turn my routers/switches on and off.

I Just Purchased A: "KAMRUI AK2 Plus Mini PC, Intel 12th Gen Alder Lake- N100 (up to 3.4GHz) Micro Computer, 16GB DDR4 RAM 500GB SSD Mini Desktop Computer Support 4K HD/WiFi 5/BT4.2/Gigabit Ethernet" From Amazon/Prime For $171.55, And Its Absolutely Awesome. It's Quick To Set Up And I'm Astonished At How Fast It Is. A Few Months Ago I Purchased A Core i7 (1255U 12th Gen CPU) Vivobook Laptop From ASUS, And The N100 (12th Gen Alder Lake CPU) Actually Runs Faster Than The Core i7! I'm Sold On These Budget Mini Desktop Computers And It Blows Me Away At How Small The Footprint Is And How Well It Works!
Yeah! I was debating between a Raspberry Pi 5 or the N100. The prices for the raspberry pi 5 plus accessories were expensive and having to wait a good amount of time is what made me choose the N100. Don't regret that decision at all! Hoping to see what's next in the lineup!
@@NatesZone Looks Like We Both Made A Good Decision On The N100. I'm Totally Surprised By The Performance For The Price! I Appreciate You, Your Comment And Content My Brother! Continued Success! I'm A New Subscriber! Keep Building! Never Quit! ✌️
