As a kid, Abe scares you As an adult, you think he's adorable The soundtrack is this weird nexus of tranquil yet forboding, mesmerising yet frightening. Oddworld is truly an ODD game.
Yeah. Honestly Oddworld has such an...well, odd atmosphere that also has this real, ugly, dark tone in it but despite that it's sometimes balanced by its dark humor and hopeful and spiritual tone within the story. It's just one of those things I connect to in a personal way
Feel like this is where I am right now. This theme is on repeat in my life. Constantly wondering why I'm here, in this really odd world indeed. The ebb and flow of good and bad in my life shifting from slow, rythmic hums to the rising pace of my heartbeat as things go from bad to worse. Cold and alone, Oddworld's landscape is eerily relatable. There are such beautiful moments of quiet and contemplation in it. Those moments of beauty, however - are almost always alone. If there is a passenger alongside me, enjoying the moment together - it never seems to last. It never lasts. They have other wants and dreams, trying to escape this cold, odd world indeed to find their own. Like Abe, I will always be happy to discover new friends and help them be where they desire to be. I just hope that one day, someone will desire to follow me.
This simple tune perfectly captures both the sadness and pure dread for being hunted for your meat. To this day it fills me with the exact same feelings and speaks to the 10 year old child in me. This game changed me forever.
This theme tells you everything about Oddworld: a beautiful world simultaneously alive and dying, flourishing in the endless variety of its lifeforms and spiritual energies and at the same time hurtling hastily towards its untimely demise by the hands of its own creations. I wish Soulstorm preserved this feeling of sacred beauty the originals had.
my opinion on this movie: eh. the movie was basically them sladering south park for being more popular and antagonizing them. they could've just move to adult swim if they had the budget to make a 1 hour animation blaming south park even tho matt and trey didn't do anything wrong. but seriously i would love to see drawn together on adult swim!
still one of my absolute favorite themes for any video game. I love how not everything had to be so bombastic and crazy with this game, it was so subtle and atmospheric, I just love it. I loved this game so much as a kid, and this series was so close to my heart growing up. It's kind of sad that, at least in my opinion, the beautiful subtlety and just genuine art feels so.. Lost on the newer games (New n Tasty and Soulstorm.) They just feel so like, loud and in your face all the time for no reason and it's just like, damn. I miss when everything was so subtle and never Directly shoved in your face, the exception to the quiet, subtle atmosphere was the intense chases, dangerous encounters, or panicking moments. It feels like the newer games tried too hard to be different, but also felt like it was trying too hard to be similar to the older games in some ways. I just feel like the older games felt so genuinely focused and just, I dunno.. I love this series, and I kinda really miss it.
In The Drawn Together Movie Princess Clara refuse to believe that she's not a real Disney Princess until after arriving at her Kingdom that she started to realise the truth after meeting the real Princess. Make Clara wished that she should have listen to Foxy in the first place and gone with the others to get their show back on air. However Princess Clara died half way in the film but so has Wooldoor even though he brough this on himself without thinking and died because of his obession of getting Drawn Together back on air. So this The Drawn Together Movie is the worst because main characters died half way in the movie leaving six character left althought they all died in the end of the movie no thanks to Spanky, who accidentally steps on another eraser bomb and erases them all from existence.
