📹a video journal featuring books📚, cats🐱, & travel🧳 .
Hi! I'm Abbie, a bookworm and cat lady. I'm an American who was temporarily living in England but now I am back in the USA. I'm just trying to figure out where my next adventure is. On this channel you’ll find bookish and travel content!
Hi! Loved your video! My husband and I are taking this exact same route with our cat as we are moving to Manchester this September. We were just wondering how you guys went about booking your hotels. We haven't found one that is cat-friendly in Dublin yet. I've tried booking hotels that have stated that they are pet friendly, but they're really just dog-friendly. Even the one you guys stay at, state on their website that they don't allow cats. Did you guys just book a pet-friendly room and arrive with Ted? Or did you exchange emails with every hotel beforehand, notifying that you had a cat?
I really enjoyed your vlog❤ I just got a physical copy of my own (finally) and I can’t wait to come back and watch this again. I will be copying some of the themes you are tabbing.
Thank you so much for taking your cat onboard with you. I work on the ramp and at times load animals into bin where luggage and freight goes. I can tell you that these animals suffer. They are trembling, crying, scared out of their minds. It's loud outside, they get all the jet fumes blown into their face, and then loaded into a dark bin for the flight. It's horrible! I have 10 rescue cats and we are planning to move to El Salvador from Socal. I want to take all my cats onboard. I already checked with the Salvadoran customs and no problem on their end. I would have to make a few trips, but way more worth it than making an animal suffer.
WHHAAT 41QUID christ woman they saw you coming!!! If you go out for breakfast you go to a greasy spoon ,that's a workmans caff, Note a downclass cafe, but if you've been here before you should know that, ask a copper , a bus driver, or, better still, a fellow on a construction or building site ,where is the nearest or best greasy spoon
thank you so much for your videos flying with Tedward! I binged them all today in preparation for my flights with my cat in 3 weeks! And I'm sorry about the furniture going to waste :( that would bother me for a long time too! I saw that you mentioned not giving him Gabapentin for the flight! My vet recommended it but I'm thinking of forgoing it since it seems to only work for him if he's not in stressful situations! He's an adventure cat so he's used to being out and about but I'm worried being drowsy while out would stress him out more than being lucid... I have a 12-hour layover for one of my flights, which I'm dreading... but I'm hoping for the best! Thankfully I'll be with my husband so I won't have to do it alone!
Winchester is awesome, I'm going back there again the day after tomorrow. For literature fans, it's part of Hardy Country and the Butter Cross on the High Street is mentioned in Tess of the D'Urbervilles.
Your video was a tremendous help! We are flying cross country , with a connecting flight in Denver I think. My son and family will be moving to the area and they asked us to bring their cat home with us on the flights since they will be driving cross country. A family restroom is exactly perfect for the kitty! Once again, your video was exactly what I was looking for!
As a bookworm you have to get to Hay on Wye up near the Welsh border some time. Not a million miles from Salisbury. Edit. Your cat needs to roam free. If he brings you back dead things, he loves you. E Pellici is reckoned to be the king of Full English in London. Breakfast for a tenner or the full Monty is 13 quid. Edit 2. It's illegal to run people down in cars. It is your right to cross roads. (Not dual carriageways and motorways though). Obviously, take care. You'd have to be stupid to jump out in from of a car doing 30mph. Edit 3: Every American in the UK says the work life balance is so much better in the UK. Edit 4: Travel to anywhere. The Welsh coast from Swansea to Llandudno is all spectacular. Snowdonia is next level. Ystradfelte has 4 wonderful waterfalls and a good hike. South coast is great. The Peak District, the Lake District, Scotland, all brilliant. Everywhere is generally very good.
When I first left NZ, I struggled to contain all my stuff before boarding United Air lines. When they realized that I did not have a return ticket and was immigrating to the US, they told me that I should have warned them before hand. They waived weight restrictions and I could have taken more of my belongings. There is a difference between vacation and moving away. Any way, I don't know what allowances are given now, since that was nearly 30 years ago, but you could always ask. Each airline have different policies so you would have to write well in advance.
It is a relief to get back to America Sometimes. I was born in NZ but for me, driving down the road represents freedom to explore. Glad you were able to bring your cat through safely.
I found your video very helpful, thank you. Will travel at some point with my beautiful boy, but that is a long time away, doing my research first. A bit surprised you found the fact people were not wearing face mask surprised. Face masks did not do anything then, don’t do anything now. You could say people have woken up to that farce. The whole thing was pure stupid. Anyway, thanks for making this video.
hi im gonna be travelling soon with our cats . this video is very useful. i got kinda scared of what happened to you with your migraine . I think vets should issue a calming treats for us too hahaha ;) but no kiddin I wonder what can I do to prepare myself in this kind of experience for the first time. Great video.
This is so helpful. I'm leaving teaching in June and am gong to spend 6 months in Cornwall to decompress and figure out next steps. I am so anxious about traveling with my cat and this clarified so much. Thank you!! <3
The perfect video! Thanks to the author of the channel for this fascinating video! It is interesting to see how people live in other countries! It is very important to know foreign languages on such trips. I would like to recommend to all travelers a practical guide to learning foreign languages by Yuriy Ivantsiv "Polyglot Notes. Practical tips for learning foreign languages". This book contains a lot of useful tips on how to learn a foreign language for tourists, students, entrepreneurs and anyone who needs a foreign language in life. There are a lot of good tips on how to solve problems with the language from beginner to advanced level of language learning. It turns out that the traveler only needs to know a few dialogues and you can easily travel around the world! You don't have to spend a lot of time to fully learn a foreign language, you just need to learn what you can use when you travel. I wish everyone exciting travels!
I might have to fly with my cat from Western Europe to Hawaii the big island. Hawaiian Airlines allow carriers not bigger than 16" by 10" by 9.5". This is a small carrier and she weighs 5 kg - medium size. Does anyone know what carrier should I buy? Can I buy Sherpa Original Deluxe medium size?
When I was there 40years ago had really good sex under the columns of the Temple, There are also submerged ruins near there. The Cats are very much apart of the Island,. If you drive in to the Mountains to the stone Quarry see part calved statues. If you island hope to Paxos, there is a farm house made from temple stones. The Best Bar in Naxos in those Days was Demetris Bar, which in English means James. The Dance floor was the bar top after about 10pm. Nicx
hi! great video! i am in the early stages of planning an international flight with two cats (taiwan to st. louis ) is there any way i could send you a message and ask a couple questions?
Hi. Very interesting clip. I am looking to fly one way from the UK (final destination Indianapolis) can you explain the steps you took to book Ted and how much you spent? Thanks
