I agree there are too many stance characters but it isn’t absolutely everyone: Paul has sway but as far as I’m aware he’s always had that and it’s not his main tool so I wouldn’t call him a stance character, Kazuya, Bryan, Claudio, Asuka, Nina (still too little but just saying)
Bear is the closest character I have to a more chilling playstyle since other characters goes ungabunga on the aggression. Maybe King is close second since both of them have sucky aggressive move without risking getting heavily punished.
As an Drag and Hei main on T7 I feel you bro. I really hate the braindead agression direction that they took with this game. They throwed away almost all the skill expression and replaced it with broken oungabounga stances, installs,..
The worst part about stance mix up characters is that I have to respect Asuka and say "yay Asuka isn't stance mix up character." As a Claudio main though I have pride in having basically no stances even if I'm just a running 2 spammer. Also bonus thing: Jack got hit with the unga bunga stance addition too. You can cheese so hard with gamma howl.
Yep that's what I meant, they got characters which NEVER were about stances or mixups or pressure, and turned em all into this one singular archetype. Jack was never about stances, Asuka was never about pressure.
honestly? they could have made every character like claudio and it would be more fun than that. i mean NO stance, BASIC mixup, WR move, short movelist.

The issue is not heat, it's the gray health and the way it rewards mixups and 50/50's more than it rewards a combo, in tekken8 it's arguably better to have flowchart that deals 60 dmg rather than a combo that deals 70 since u can recover some of the health lost from a combo, that's why everybody is mix-up heavy.
I agree man. I'm not good enough for lots of stuff to matter to me but it's hard to not get tired of all the bullshit they pull on the players. Like I said on stream, they are pulling a Leroy where they know exactly what they are doing releasing Hei in this state; I bet you they have the patch to bring him down to closer to the rest of the cast already written down just like they did with Leroy and it will get leaked lol. At least we can have fun playing with friends, the rank grind really isnt worth it when you have to deal with this bs

OH! I found this a little while ago, though it was out of a very specific distance using just Electrics and heat smash. Definitely not as useful as to be able to do it out of a more traditional combo. Speaking on walls, didn't know until very recently that seemingly Bear has a universal wall attack? Not sure what the proper term is. Like... tapping up while dashing backwards into a wall let's him do this goofy little wall run punch, a realization that leads to oddly significant damage if performed while already in Heat (wall attack->EWBF->d.1->WR.1>2->ender/Heat Smash.) Of course, the most valuable part of this combo is that the whole ordeal is patently absurd in concept and appearance.
Panda might not have the better kit out of the two bears, but she more than makes up for it with cuteness and ability to piss people off with said cuteness lol
Loved the guide and style of it! Wanted to add a few other things that are good to be aware of for the mix: -After shooting star, SIT2 will lose to power crush but will beat all Rage Art attempts. -SIT1,1 is only natural on counter hit. -ROL mix up after HS is still very real! Panda is +6 and ROL1+2 at i10 will launch any button press/power crush/RA/side stepping attempts. The move is is completely useless in heat because of the hitbox around them which enforces ROL 1/2/3/4 mix with blockstun, but it ties the stance together to keep the threat always real when not in heat.
@@le_le99Yes. Roll 1+2 is i10. After HS Panda is +6 when rolling, so there's only a 4 frame gap between HS and Roll 1+2, so Rol1+2 will launch anything but blocking.
Top tier guide! I’m trying to get Panda to Tekken Emperor like my Kuma. They just need to increase her Heat time again for a real buff. I actually have more fun with her.
Honestly, if Shooting Start costed the same heat of Bear-Electric, Panda would already be a much better character. But it is what it is. Also good luck on the Emperor run!
Hey everyone, two small things that I forgot to mention in the video: 1. Of course I don't mean that you should always Shooting Star after an Heat Engager. It's good pressure, but you should always use different options based on who you are fighting. One good example is Heat Engager into db4. Very risky, but if the opponent is not sharp you get again the +6 that lead you into starting the Shooting Star pressure. 2. All of these options (Sit 11, 3+4 and Roll 1,2,3,4,1+2) lose to Rage Art, so watch out against opponents with low health left. The only option that can beat Rage Art is Sit 2. Thank you for watching!
I like u4,3. People for some reason very frequently get hit by the second part despite blocking first one to a point I thought you need a separate block input to not get hit by it.

Thanks a lot for it, great guide and great edit, transitions are fun, explanations are precise not too much but enough, with notations and chapters. Honestly, I didn't skip 1min of it. I would highly suggest using 2 1 3 for how quick it is and the fact it stops most power crushes. If your opponent knows this though, you can switch it up with 2 1 2. It’s pretty slow but very satisfying if you can hit it and follow up with a WS 1 and partially charged 2 Edit: it also tracks lol

Pretty much, that's the best explanation I can give for this. A lot of characters have high splat into 4 hits wall combo, let's say that his is how Kuma does it
Nope, no nerf (still). You just need to tiny delay the last 1+2. If you see the opponent getting spiked on the ground, that's the signal you can get a guaranteed d1+2
