I was in and out of the hospital emergency room withone case of surgery performed gull bladder removal and this was a temporary dayley in my life I was susetable to an became a diabetic and had to live on SSI California.now I've been out of the hospital since March with heart surgery and now I've been operating On twice and I now have a limp in one leg and I am waiting for a chance to meet up with an attorney to try to pay for some bills and get well and go back to work
I had a bad panic attack during my SSDI hearing. The judge had to cancel the rest of the hearing and sent me home to get some rest. SSA called two days later and said the judge wants to finish my case as soon as possible, but it make take a few weeks till I get scheduled. Its been about 3 weeks when I had my incident.
Im in Michigan, I get put in the hospital about every three months for grand maul seizure. my last hospital stay was at the begining of March 2024, and it lasted for about 16 hours. The Doctors at the Hospital thought I had a stroke because I lost movement/controll of my right side. Truth is it was just so sore to move. SS is dragging their feet. I have been fighting with them for about three years. I can not work, I have small seizures every day, I do not drive, and I live in a rural area, Mt last ambulance ride took nearly an Hour. How do I get SS to stop dragging their feet?
I hadn't had a seizure in over 33 years UNTIL I was fitted with WIDEX Bluetooth hearing aids. I could have died and my condition has been extremely worsened. STAY AWAY FROM BLUETOOTH EAR PIECES and those seizures were far worse than the other 2 I've had early in life.
I have never had a license I'm 34 I have tried to drive and about fainted from anxiety each time cars give me extreme anxiety I would love to drive but my anxiety is so bad I don't think I'll ever be able to. I am a very paranoid person. Being in public scares me..the grocery store freaks me up really gets my anxiety going...I get sensory overload very easily...every little noise I also have a 0 to 180 anger problems that stem from my anxiety I really don't think working is good for me. I think I just need to stay home. What are the steps to being diagnosed and getting ssi
See a psychiatrist. Get a diagnosis. Have medical records stating the severity of the negative impact on your ability to financially take care of yourself.

You don’t have a clue about migraine. People with complex and chronic migraine can be at risk of suicide because they can’t deal with the condition. WHO classifies it as same level of disability as dementia or psychosis. You are talking here about episodic migraine
Is there any way to get it for JUST BECAUSE DISABLED? I could easily qualify after watching You Tube!! I have all the ABOVE BOXES CHECKED!!!! I EVEN DISCOVERED SOME NEW ONES!!!

Please help me ? I just got sent home again from work because I lost consciousness and undressed in front off everyone again. I’ve been dealing with epilepsy for over my life time because I need money to live so I keep applying for jobs.
My SSD application is back at the field office, after DDS, to make sure I still meet the non med requirements for benefits. During the the application process early on, my former boss, out of pity, paid me $500 per week for 8 weeks so I could pay my rent and not get behind in bills. But I did not work at all. I filed in March, had received that pity pay from March-May, so is SSA likely to deny my application for receiving that much money during the "5 month" waiting period? Thank you.
My doctor didn't take my license and I drive with epilepsy. Its never been a problem because I can choose when I drive. I don't have a schedule that tells me I have to be at work at 8am everyday because if you can't come in if your not having seizures or your coming to work and waking up in the emergency room, you are not a reliable employee(because of your condition). If I feel like something isn't right or im having seizures activity. I simply don't drive. Also my condition is a special one. I have 2 different forms of seizures. Myochlonic and grand mal. I never just have a grand mal seizure. They begin as a series of myochlonic seizures(that don't result in loss of consciousness). Because of this condition I rarely drive, only to take my gf to work and often I am unable to even do that and have to have someone pick her up or drop her off or she has to walk. While I've never had a seizure while driving because I minimize my driving, I certainly have had seizures trying to work and have lost numerous jobs and had workplace injuries numerous because of seizures at work. In one instance I was sent home when I began having myochlonic seizures at an office job and began falling on my face repeatedly trying to walk home from work. I was sent home around 430am and found myself at approximately 8:30am standing next to heavy traffic covered in blood, confused to where I was or where my stuff was. Came to work and woke up in the emergency room numerous times. Woke up with missing teeth. I've also had a doctor numerous times write that my ability to work is extremely limited to less than 12 hours per week. How could a judge just say in this situation "your driving, your seizures must not be that bad" in that situation? There's a big difference to an 8 hour workday and a 30 minute short trip. Some cases such as mine are special cases that are unusual.... Obviously I've tried to work and kept running into the same problem over and over again with my epilepsy with trying to work, not driving.

3/29/2023 Rude and mean People make me have Social Anxiety. I asked a cashier at a Wal-mart something And she responded rude just because she was on her cell phone. If you have a job, stop waising time on your cell phone and Act professional and kind with customers, not rude.

I have 70% VA TDIU, currently waiting on my SSDI application. It is 25% completed as of now. If i am approved, it will be life-changing for me. I haven't been able to work since 2018.
80% TDUI and doing the same thing, the retropay from TDUI was nice but paid off debt when being laid off. Just recently heard of being able to have SSDI, seemed to good to be true but is in fact not at all. I'm with you getting that would be unbelievably beneficial to get on that 100% rating. Best of luck and rooting for you!
Everyone I personally know or know of, that receive Disability benefits, are physically & mentally able to work. It's an age old conundrum in that it's not WHAT you know, it's WHO you know. In other words, if you know the 'angles', get the 'right' Doctor, or get a devious & clever legal team, you can go on Disability. It's frustrating because my daughter has hip, back, & other physical ailments, but got turned down for Disability. Some days she can hardly walk. From the standpoint of Social Security Disability, it grinds my gears when I see ANYONE under the age of 62 collecting benefits. Social Security was created for people that WORKED for a living, then retired. I see so called 'Disabled" people in the media, and in other social situations, that are perfectly able to work SOME kind of job, but simply chose not to. There should be more stringent regulations as to the 'declaration' of Disability benefits. If someone gets away with trumping up ailments, to get out of WORKING for a living, they shouldn't be granted Disability benefits. Instead they should be arrested for vagrancy. If you want to eat, GO TO WORK. I've been depressed all my life, however have been tenacious in still being able to work. People that claim they are "mentally" disabled because of depression, alcoholism (which is NOT a disease, but an addiction), etc, should NOT be granted benefits. If someone has severe physical issues and or debilitating mental issues, then and ONLY then, should the Government grant Disability benefits. The money. however, should come from another source OTHER than Social Security. The ONLY people that have the right to Social Security benefits are those that worked, paid into it, and be at least 62 years old. Sometimes people just want to skirt the 'system' to collect benefits, in lieu of rolling up their sleeves and going to work. For example, if a person can lift their arms to smoke a cigarette, have the ability to answer a telephone, or possess any basic day to day functions, they can work. Bottom-line, with respect to the whole idea of Disability & Social Security Disability, there are too many people eating cookies out of the jar, but not enough people baking more and putting them back in.
1/17/2023 Hi I'm Elizabeth from Houston About to turn 47 years old and haven't worked because I get Social anxiety and depression more often. In Elementary I was diagnosed with Mental disorder but my mother didn't care and I got kicked out at 13 years. What can I do to get help If I don't have money to pay For treatment?
Iv been diagnosed with Panic Disorder, and just have bad anxiety in general. And also been diagnosed with cptsd. Iv been offered going on disability, but at the time I said no, cause I'm young I feel like I need to be working like everyone else. But it's been so hard and a struggle. Iv lost countless jobs by not being reliable because of how bad my anxiety gets. At this point. I feel like I need to just get it and spend time working on myself. Cause at times I will think nah I'm good I don't need disability, and then other times which is the majority I'm having a complete meltdown. And wishing I had disability instead of being at work having anxiety attacks and sleepless nights, and crying and going crazy. 😢
I was in the same boat as you. I tried working, but my anxiety got in the way. I got offered to live off disability, but I turned it down because I was just too young. It's funny really, I did my best to make it out on my own without the assistance of accepting a social security disability check, but the people around me obviously know that I have social anxiety disorders. Somewhere in the near future, I'm going to start taking social security disability checks.
