I have polished so many rims and sanded so many rims people don't realize what it's like taking a shower at the end of the day with all the black stuff all over you and I'm talking about in your ears your nose your face your eyes everywhere around your eyes like mascara sucks but I absolutely love polishing rims I can put some earbuds in and knock them out left and right I used to do them on dump trucks tour buses trucks pretty much anything even RVs
What's a great side hustle polishing starter kit that won't break the bank? I'm talking bare minimum spend that one can get away with and still provide great results for customers? No one is providing this service in my local and the locals love rims but cam barely maintain them. I know I can make a killing but as humble beginnings go, I'm starting off small. So far the equipment I have include: • Dewalt Atom brushless cordless drills • Dewalt modular right angle flexible shaft attachment • Bosch corded angle grinder • Dremel • Dremel flex shaft.
Polishing your cast-iron in my opinion, completely ruins it. I sanded one of my pans down to 60 and the seasoning will not stick after a couple uses. If you don’t believe me check out the cast-iron dude on RU-vid he does as side-by-side comparison. Results.
Damn! I don't know why people Plasti dip chrome rims... They make it to the can stick on chrome, but most of them even say not to use on it and to peel it off every 6 months and yet some people leave it on for 5 to 10 years!
Im doing my wheels, I used paint stripper and found they are machined and shiny under the paint. Your vid is the best, but would the sanding take out the machining and still look good? do you clearcoat?
People have bought polished cast irons from you?? My man, are you in the business of receiving commissions? Cause I'd love to experiment with having a polished carbon steel pan that I have.
Cast iron cookware care, the most divisive subject on the Internet, who ever would have guessed. Over the years, on a few occasions, I’ve sand blasted mine, and guess what, it looks just like the day I bought it 50 years ago. One man’s seasoning is just another man’s build up of carbonized organic matter.
