@GilbertGardens And the Turbo cooler pipe in the valley. Doesn't kill the engine. It's just $5000 to replace a poorly positioned $2 rubber hose. As I've just found out Even if you tried to do the repair yourself the amount of new parts required and special tools is just silly.... And... it's only going to do it again in time.

21:50 the keeper clip is in the wrong spot, i followed step by step only to have my rear pads weld themselves and catch on fire to the rotor because the clip and pins backed itself out on the outside of the caliper where you had informed us to put it.

Hey brother, just find your video and thank you for the all the info. I have 22 Wrangler EcoDiesel Gen3. What would you suggest for me to make sure I avoid the typical pit falls. Seems like the EGR delete and DPF delete are the key for a long and happy life. However the obvious down side create pit fall. Any maintenance routines or after market swap to help with longevity? Not looking for 100k more HP or 800kg of torque. Just need to make this engine last. Thanks again for the positive post
@GilbertGardens
@GilbertGardens 10 дней назад
@ebec2believe776 it'll involve the egr disabled. That's the main ine for engine life. You can get tunes just to disable the egr. That'll help with engine sludge. The DPF DEF and SCR (exhaust) are mostly just problematic.

@tomfox1751
@tomfox1751 13 дней назад
U.S. owner--2017 ecodiesel, 119k miles, oil changes at 10k miles. Blackstone showed oil to be great at 100k after 10k miles. GDE tune at 750 miles which eliminated turbo lag and the silliness of regurgitating exhaust into your intake. Still at 27-30 mpg. Tows fantastic. Only problem is that when turning the steering wheel it will sometimes change info screen or radio channel (I'm told there is some electrical "ring" that loses contact or makes contact causing the electrical gremlins). I did have the EGR cooler recall done only because of warranty. Have not changed front rotors or brakes, changed rears because the emergency brake pads fell apart at about 100k miles. I love this truck! Other than the emergency brake pad replacement I have never had the truck in the shop (change oil myself with Rotella T6, 5w-40). I changed the transmission filter and tray at 90k miles just for piece of mind even though the mfg. says it is a lifetime filter. New tray will allow me to change the filter without changing the entire tray. My truck does like tires at 35k miles which seems to be out of character to most owner's experience.

The eco diesel biggest issue is that they took an non emission engine that has been great for decades and then shoved emissions on it. My first engine blew at 134,000 for the main barring.new engine has been deleted from KM 0 and has been running great since

Great video. I have an ecodiesel I am now at 137k miles and I now am starting to have issues, mostly with fuel and DPF. I am considering deleting the EGR and DPF . The truck has been great up until now. I would like to get more in depth information about bypassing the EGR and not removing it. Also about the tuning. The DPF is clogged so I will need to delete that. Hopefully I can get the right information and be able to keep this truck for many more years. Thanks for your help.

I have a 2011 Mercedes Gl350 likethe one you had andinstalled a catch can but that caused me to loose the engine : let me explain , live in Ottawa region and on a very cold day ( -40C ) an ice plug formed in the catch can piping and crank case pressure went to hell and the engine spilled all of it's oil after it busted the piping and engine locked up 7000Cad later replaced the engine and had to reconnect the dam PCV back , but what i'm doing is simply splitting the recommanded oil change intervals by half so changing oil every 7500Km instead of 15k

So Hustler has admitted they have an issue with the frame design. They sell (but should offer for free ) a beefed up bracket kit to keep the frame from flexing. That's why his mounting bracket is cracked. When that flexing occurs the drive belt fans hit the drive belt , which breaks or derails the belt .
