Saddle making dates back to the year 1850 in my family tree.
Along the way I picked up metal working and Silver working to add to my resume. You may also enjoy some of my metal working videos.

Totally handmade saddle dee's and breast collar dee's for a custom roping saddle I am making. A lot of work but it really make's a unique touch to the saddle. _Bruce
I saw your thread was from Texas Thread Mfg. The 346, if i may ask, where do you purchase that poly thread from? Thanks for your videos. They help a lot.
I just purchased a spool of white 346 polyester thread from Weaver Leather and it cost 37.69 for a 1.226 pound spool. I have noticed that prices are going up on all leather working supplies. Thanks for your question. Bruce
Just found your vids.. thanks for great tutorial. Being new to leather crafting, its been hard to actually find good help, information etc on the craft. I just subscribed. Hope to view all your vids. Thanks!!
I like that you are showing close ups and are explaining what you are doing . It would be nice if you would go into the harder parts with more explanation. For example the circle on the spur strap is tooled. How did you set the spacing so it was working rather than a big gap at the end. Also, if you could allow for more time for viewing the end product. Some of us need more time to digest and appreciate the work. Best regards Bruce.
Great video and I like the close ups you did Bruce! Those clips added in are sure a nice touch for us viewing to see what’s exactly going on. Beautiful work by a great guy and craftsman! Have a great day and thank you for sharing! Your friend Colin
I think you will like this leather tooling and carving video I have some really cool tips with the footage. Thanks for watching and commenting. Bruce Cheaney
If it all possible it would be good to set up an account with Weaver Leather Supply one stop shopping for all your leather working needs. www.weaverleathersupply.com/
Добрий вечір. Підписаний на ваш канал тому що подобається працювати з шкірою. Зараз я приїхав з війни у відпустку. Завтра їду назад. Дякую за вашу роботу. Хотів би в Вас повчитися але сука війна.
Cool video! That sure is a cool and neat old stamp you have there that’s been kept in the family and certainly well used! I hope a Cheaney is using it on leather in another 100 years! Thank you Bruce! Your friend, Colin
@cheaneysaddles Thanks! Is there a way I could send you a photo of a second hand couch that I bought? It was advertised ad being saddle leather, and I'm curious what your opinion is.
Awesome video! Thanks for sharing!l Bruce! Going around those borders with precision! Hands of a surgeon and years of honing your skills. The work and talent of a master craftsman at work! Sure do enjoy following along! Your pal Colin
Marble works best have two slabs with the same specs and the Granite stone has more bounce. The one in this video is the Granite one. Thank you for watching and commenting.
Bruce, thanks for moving the camera a little closer. We could hear you a lot better. If it's all the same, can you turn your camera 90 degrees like you usually do. As always we all love and appreciate your time and videos. The more you talk during the videos the better, again thanks...
