Just to add, its probably more difficult to get a Grab if you are on the remote parts of the island which is why we rented a vehicle, however if you are around Chaweng, Maenam or Fishermans village you should be able to find one to get around. Red trucks are available in the popular areas as well, but they dont take you very far. There are plenty of transport options and friendly people willing to assist. :) Hope it helps
On the DJI app, it allows take off where it is suitable, closer to the airport zone, it did not even allow take off but on the blue zones it was allowed. The app is always updated with the regulations so keep to that. Also in Thailand there are 2 registrations you need to do. The CAAT and NBTC You can contact CAAT and Here is the list of no fly zones. uav.caat.or.th/vtr1_detail2.php gives you details of where you can fly.
@leisureexplorer DJI don't control drone laws in Thailand do they? I don't need your help, im letting you know you posted evidence of you illegally flying in thailand. New Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requirements necessitate operators of UAV/UASs to provide notice to the controlling airport/s and Air Traffic Control Tower (ATCT) facilities of planned operations within a five-mile radius of the airport. This close to 9 km, and this is an illegal fly whether you passed DJI's 5km built protection or not. Also DJI have a warning their tech can malfunction, just because your drone powers up, doesn't mean you are flying legally.
@@leisureexplorer i am going to buy DJI mini 4 pro in Thailand and I will be in Thailand for 7 days only, then also do I have to register it? I searched on google so it is saying that you don’t need to register if you are staying there less than 30 days It is so confusing 😅
