In my channel I will be sharing some of my daily life activities. I hope to make some of your tasks easier by sharing some of my videos. You will find videos around automotive, maintenance, unboxing, upgrades, etc. I currently own an E93 M3 so mainly I will be posting changes or upgrades on it.
Send me suggestions or questions to; Uri335i@gmail.com
I am loving them. They are just attached to my fence with no shade. I live in Chicago so weather conditions are extreme yet the Klipsh have no issues. Color has faded a bit but I know I can repaint them. During winter I do put a cover I bought for them. PS: Neighbors are always asking me to play more as they enjoy them too.
I like the clarity of Def Tech speakers but not the lack of bass. The Klipsch sound fuller (have more bass), but the highs are not as clear or crisp. It's a tough call; I wouldn't buy either. If I could add a subwoofer, then my choice would be the Def Tech.
I couldn’t agree more.. if I could add a sub which is possible, then I would get Definitive. However in my big yard with the Klipsh I am not missing the sub. It would be nice but I am okay without.
Both sound quite good, with the edge to the Klipsch pair. I'd only note that you're testing outdoor speakers indoors in what is a fairly reverberant room. Both sets are likely to sound very different in free space, but I won't knock anything about this video as there comparison for overall flavor is there.
Thanks for posting. I have a 2013 and have the same issues. Engine light and battery light comes on and the battery keeps dying. I will try this and hopefully it fixes the issues.
Klipsch AW650 outside speakers are incredible, my outdoor area is 25' x 25' and it fills the sound nicely. i tried some bs inwall speakers and it sounded like a tin can
At no point in the video did you mention the alignment of the replacement cartridge. This is vital for the correct playback of your records. If the alignment is out your records can be damaged or skip and even worse stick.
I can see where you are coming from, but trust me, in real life the sound was much fuller with Klipsch. Not to say that the Def sounded bad or were not clear.
Look at AW-650T, a bit more expensive, but, 110db, supports 8ohm, 4ohm, 70v/100v, 85watt. You'll thank me later. I have the AW-650 in garage, but outside backyard go with AW-650T, no competition out there in same price range. 👍
@@brotang1 My apologies for the late response… No way I would replace my front focals. These were purchased for my back patio. Thanks for checking the video out.
Thank you for the comparison review. Concerning the Def Tech speakers the way they are mounted has big influence on the sound. You said you wish the bass was on the bottom, but they are rotatable so the bass could be pointed towards the bottom. It's also important to know the Def Tech speakers feature a radiator bass, which are supposed to radiate the sound onto a surface (wall or ceiling) which then reflects and improves the bass sound. I'm not surprised they sounded less good in this setup.
Lenn, Thank you for your opinion. I understand that the def tech speakers are rotatable but the way the angle is designed is not helpful. It shouldn’t be a complex process to set up and to get great results. For example, I set up mine outside. One is attached towards the end of my siding with the mid driver pointing towards the patio which is to the right, to the left it’s my neighbor’s house so am I suppose to mount it with the bass pointing towards the right and voice driver towards the left where the neighbors house is? If I put it upside down then the voice (driver) would be pointing towards the sky, just so I point the bass pointing down it just doesn’t work. My other speaker is mounted on one of the posts of my fence and there is nothing to bounce the bass off of. Maybe for some will work as you stated but in my opinion, it should not be as complex to set up in order to get quality bass. I placed the Klipsch the way I want them outside and they also rotate, I’m happy with them and the awesome bass! I love def tech just in this battle it didn’t win.
My friend you didn't actually show any of the fine details. You did an edit where you jump cut to the already connected or disconnected wires and screws. You skipped the important stuff. What's the point?
Hello! I've done the same upgrade with same passages, but the stylus is too 'high' comparing to the orginal one. so when the automatic arm comes back it swipes on the record! the lifting system is no longer sufficient, the turret should be raised but I don't know if it is possible. thank you
Hello, I would suggest to watch my video and forward to 5:07 where I explain the balancing process so it falls smooth on your vinyl. Hope that works, good luck.
@@uribetubejr24 Thank you for quick answer; anyway the balance is ok, but I have to try to raise up the turret in a way, because the automatic system is not enough to return the arm at the end of the record or playing stop. Maybe the dimension of Ortofon Cartridge is not compatibile/to high (only in my case?...)
Santa brought me the same turntable for Christmas and I upgraded it with the same cartridge! I agree with the ease of installation and mostly with the upgraded sound quality from my LP’s!
I bought the ortofon red and noticed the colors are in different spots than the stock cartridge. Should i still connect them the way it shows on the new cartridge or try to connect the same way they were connected to the original cartridge?
You forgot an important thing you should Adjust how far back or forward the cartidge should be. To follow the track exactly both at the beginning and in the middle of the vinyl disc. with eg the Ortofon Alignment Tool. There is also a test disc to set Antiskating
Turn the camera please! 03 and 05, VR is behind rear brake res. And there is nothing easy about rad shorud, covers, etc.... You can tell union guys built this. and order extra rad drain valve, you'll need it soon...lol
Mike thank you for your feedback. I realized that when recording with phone I have to record horizontal, my apologies sir. I will make sure to look into the rad drain valve, thanks for letting me know.
Hello Ahmed, not sure re if it fits 2015 but I’m assuming it does. This is the link I used. DEF Voltage Regulator for Harley... www.amazon.com/dp/B083KG6G5D?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I’ve just bought the same turntable (silver version). Would you say the cartridge upgrade was really noticable in sound quality? And how would you describe the difference? Thanks
Hello, congratulations on your purchase! The quality is very noticeable. You hear less of the static background noise from the old times. You will hear the voices and tones more present and clear without having to up the volume way up. I would say is like using regular speakers vs high quality speakers. I hope this helps!
What about just the bavsound subs instead of all of the speakers would that improve just the bass of the system and keep the good EPS sound in mids and highs
Hello, I tried that too and heard no difference so I ended up returning them too. however, I am not sure if not having the premium BMW sound system would make a difference. The Premium sound is very high quality IMO. I did hear a more deep and dense bass when I put the dynamat around the floor before re installing the sub. I am guessing that helped to bounce the bass better. I always suggest to start with the replacement of the OEM amp and work from there. I think you will then see/hear a big difference.
@@uribetubejr24 it’s a big improvement talking about bass performance? Because i want to upgrade my logic7 in my e92 i was thinking to put all Audison speaker specific bmw and dynamat inside sub box
@@danielcaschettoI had a 335i with the logic7 and it was one of the best sound systems I’ve had. If you start changing speakers you have to also change the amp to match the ohms and specs otherwise I wouldn’t really bother. I would suggest to seal with dynamat which will just make the impacts more solid and tight. Then based on that decide.
Hello, no it did not that’s why I ended up putting it back to stock. I learned that the stock system is better unless you switch the entire system including the amplifier otherwise you won’t notice much of a difference and the sound is better OEM in my opinion. Our speaker system was made for the OEM amp, you will lose quality if you mix match.
@@uribetubejr24 thank you so much for the response. I’ll be returning my ghost woofers, as they don’t have an amp upgrade yet for the bmw 2018 5 series.
No problem! I bought dynamat and put it around the base where the OEM subs sit and that actually increased the bass a bit and sounded more solid. I would try that.
Yeah was hard in apartment garage but definitely more content coming up now that I have a house and a big garage where people aren’t on the way ha. Thanks for the feedback Delton.
No problem Josh, if it’s not the battery make sure to check out the voltage regulator video. I replaced the battery but i also realized that it was the regulator as the new battery kept dying too. Ride safe sir
