These videos are made for my business analytics, introductory statistics courses and engineering statistics courses. Some problems are completed by hand and others using the TI-84, Excel, XLStat or R Studio. Enjoy! -KJ
8 years. Would you have guessed that this video would help someone 8 years after originally posting this video. Not just helping, but SAVING my grade in stats. Thank you Mrs. Katie Ann Jager
So a few things: 1) I think that I'm writing this comment a little too late for you so sorry. 2) The significance level was 0.05 not 0.95. The confidence level was 95%. I understand this is just a matter of semantics. 3) In English, "Mam" is actually spelled Ma'am. I know that its weird and it took me a while to learn that myself but I think the word origin is French. 4) To do an 85% prediction for a confidence level it would look something like this: predict(mod, data.frame(x=13), interval = "confidence", conf.level = 0.85)
I guess in the first one there’s a typo but in the second one you forgot to multiply the intersection with the p that B is not working. That’s going by the Bayes Theorem.
