For better and for worse: if I have a great hotel room, they often stay overnight (if I even want to), even though it was only agreed for a short time. I stayed at the Dynasty Grande in late May 2024. In its current condition, the hotel is definitely NOT a four-star hotel. They are doing a major renovation so it might be a four-star in the future, but not now. At best, the Dynasty Grande is a 3 1/2 star hotel because of its large rooms. Currently, there is NO restaurant so no breakfast or room service. The room TV has very limited channels (no ESPN) and many times some channels were unavailable because of satellite or cable problems. The only two good things about the Dynasty Grande is the location and the swimming pool. It has the best lap swimming hotel pool that I’ve found in Bangkok, but it closes early around 6 pm.
Areca is apparently an over priced dive. I can't talk from experience, but some Pattaya vloggers say it's overpriced for what you get. Personally I like D-Appartments opposite New Plaza just off Soi Buakhao with huge, immaculate balcony rooms for 900-1000 baht per night with a rooftop pool.
@manosparavida3551 It's not easy with the price information, as they are based on the season and also on how busy a hotel is at the moment. We're trying to find an average here. Overall however, Areca has very good reviews and is repeatedly mentioned as a recommendation.

I have no experience with LBs in girlfriendly hotels. But I think at most GF hotels it doesn't matter who you take with you. I know that there are a few hotels that refuse this. The best thing to do is to choose a hotel and ask via email whether that's okay.

No, sorry, I haven't researched this criteria yet. However, it will be the case that most hotels have a smoking ban - I think. Most hotels offer rooms with a balcony. Also girlfriendly hotels.
Due to the importance of this hotel in relation to nightlife in Bangkok, we are thinking of making a video specifically about it. This is not a given in all hotels. Imagine that in some clubs they won't let you in with a ladyboy and then you think to yourself, it doesn't matter - then just go straight to the hotel and nothing again. the night is really messed up... 🤪
Good selection of mostly mid-priced hotels (3+ stars), but the photos of the swimming pools are somewhat deceptive especially the rooftop ones. The rooftop pools are more for soaking than swimming because of their short length.
Unfortunately, this is the case with many hotels. When I'm in Thailand from March, I'll also need a larger, deeper pool for swimming laps. These larger bathtubs in many hotels are hardly refreshing.
At these temperatures?! If so, a whirlpool. You can have a good time with a girl and a bottle of champagne. 🤩 However, it gets too warm for me after a short while. Because the Thai girls start to freeze when the water is not 28 degrees. 😖
28,000 low season but rises to 32,000 peak season - superior room with best views. Standards the same size, balcony but no view. D Express not far way is cheaper..
