Also that curved blade is like one of the best weapons in the whole game Basically you have 3 lives 2 in the overworld 1 in the depths And if you level up you gain your lives back To level up You have to upgrade your characters attributes by using gera like Strength-dumbell Agility-ankle weights Intelligence-enciclopidia Charisma-how to make friends book Fortitude-getting hit with moves with vest or boulder Willpower-prayer beads Weopon mastery is gained with weapons manual and exp for it is gained from npc or player kills or parrying or blocking attacks After you level up you pick your talents and mantras(basically attacks) After a few levels you gonna need more exp so you go explore If you die 2 times you get sent to the depths which is basically deepwoken hell You can escape through the tower at the centre by defeating a monster that spawns depending on your level The depths go deeper then layer one which is called scizopia Basically the top of the iceberg The max power is 20 If you want to explore more of the seas there are gates on the map which lead to the aratel sea Heres my recommendation for progression Sea events or erisea Then killing some monsters Then hive which is located in the aratel sea You can find it on the map by pressing M To block its holding f If you time it right you can parry which nullifies the damage of the attack to dodge press q Also the guy with black swirlies around him was a voidwwalker basically a person who runs up to you kill you slit your throat and get rewarded for it you can avoid them by getting good reputation with the knives of ellius faction by helping them in the ship war event The guy who gave you the curved blade was basically bribing you to kill you In any case they can be pretty annoying thanks for playing deepwoken!
