Videos galore of the world's most versatile dog breed, the Toy Manchester Terrier as it's called in the US, or English Toy Terrier as it's known elsewhere.
This breed is always black and tan, and before you think they look like mini dobermans, they are an older breed than the doberman and its ancestors were used to create the doberman in 1800s!
The Toy version is around 10 lbs in weight and around 10-12 inches at the shoulders. Part terrier with that robustness and feistiness, and part toy with the desire to just curl up by the fire and snuggle with their people, the Toy Manchester is a long-lived breed (up to 17 years) with very few health issues.
Great with families, with other breeds of dogs, happy to walk 10 miles in the mountains or cuddle in your lap, the only down side is that there are about 350 puppies registered worldwide.

They are bred to be alert dogs, so they do bark at noises but can be trained to be “quiet”. They’ll become used to most normal noises, and sometimes, playing music or similar will help desensitize them. They’ll need regular exercise if you live in an apartment.
Are they prone to barking a lot and being "yappy"? I'm very interested in getting a Toy Manchester but keep getting conflicting info on the barking front. I live in an apartment so noise could be an issue. Thanks!
