Block Therapy is an effective and powerful at-home system that taps into the body's innate intelligence, creating space where time has taken it away. A bodywork practice that is meditation, exercise, and physical therapy all at once, Block Therapy can benefit anyone - from autoimmune patients to elite athletes - in as little as 5 minutes per day.
With these simple, step-by-step protocols, you’ll combine diaphragmatic breathing and deep tissue work to release adhesions and scar tissue in the fascia, oxygenating cells, rebuilding postural foundations, and, ultimately, releasing pain, aging, and dis-ease.
During diaphragmatic breathing, lying down for example, should i clench the muscle in anus for rooting to rotate the pelvis, and should i strive to have that as my everyday posture?
Thank you for creating this resource. As I started processing neglect and abuse from childhood and being a people pleaser as an adult my chronic pain in my jaw and shoulders became more intense. Thankfully the pain led me to block therapy and I am now training to be an instructor 🎉❤ Can you please speak about why pain gets worse as we process old trauma? Perhaps another RU-vid video on the topic?
Thank you Deana! I am doing the cellulite and lower body 3 hour intensive but my question is how often do I do this? I can’t find 3 hours so I am doing it in bits and peices but ideally to transform the fascia aswell as maintain the results what’s the protocol?
Thank you so much 🎉❤ ~ your lovely calm smiley gentle & knowledgeable presence is so reassuring & encouraging 🙏🥰 🤗 I'm in UK & been listening your videos a while, very grateful to learn about Fascia, - plus lymph (Dr Perry Nickelston) - seems both such significant 'missing pieces' for healing. I have your introductory 9 lessons for $9 but haven't managed to get started yet (CFS & autism & adhd & cptsd, plus diabetes, goiter, menopausal nearly 30kilo weight gain on torso 😮 & back pain (+pelvic prolapse) makes moving much rather a challenge 🙈🙃🏋️ but I must) Wish I was closer to come see you.. love it that you say you're there for us all & to get in touch.. thank you & blissings to you 🫶💛🌟 Judith 🌿🌻
What about fibroids and endometriosis? Will this position affect this area in a negative way? Do you have stretches and exercises for those issues in the pelvic area? I started doing your therapy and my lower back feels amazing but I haven't done this particular pose where I put the block on my lower stomach?
So typically how would I practice this so that it becomes a natural way of breathing? Right now sitting here doing this I get dizzy. And I guess the other thing is that I've always been told to "suck in your belly" to help make the abdominal stronger. This kinda goes against that. Your thought would be much appreciated.
My Ballet teacher always reminds us to put on our Ballet Face and look pleasant during class. I think about this during the day to combat the sagging at the corners of my mouth. Great to know about Chewing and the palms-forward. Janet in LA
Wow ! From someone who's had A LOT of injuries, & took care of them , - as well as with my equines, I always addressed ' inflamation'... with @ least 95% full recovery. ... so I thought;... until now . Now, @ 62 yrs, I'm finding ' minor'( work/ concrete) stress is REALLY crippling me ! So I can see where NOT addressing the fascia, has come back to haunt me now. & now addressing " fascia " - through YOUR channel, & doing lymphatic drainage, has done miraculous shifting in my body & my " new found pain journey " of plantar fascitis. This post Really brings in more awareness of the whole health, healing connection. Thank you !
Here ya go: the how to☺️ Touch the top right three lines and choose description and open link. The link isn't highlighted, but if you highlight it you'll be given a choice to open it, yep the full interview
As I was lowering my belly onto the towel I heard and felt a *POP!* behind my ribcage and under the left breast -- and DANG! IT HURT & STILL HURTS!! What happened?? I have rotatory scoliosis with 38 & 58 degree curves and a history of slumping too much, so there's a lot of work needing to be done!
Hi there! Sounds like you may be experiencing a rib release. The pain you are feeling is the inflammation that is coming to the area to heal. You can gently block the area, or around the area to help. Apply heat, not ice, as ice will delay the first phase of healing, which is the inflammation coming in with the nutrients the area needs to heal, and to remove the debris. You can also use your hands on the area to help the area. I hope this helps! You can reach out to support@blocktherapy.com if you have any further concerns.
Thank you very much. I’ve been always wondering how come our bodies so easily shift into the bad breathing routine while Nature put diaphragm into our bodies! Is it actually the wrong style of life or what?
Hi there! Poor posture, sitting in front of screens (computer, phone or TVs) contribute to the freezing of the diaphragm, Pain, fear and stress play a role as well. Practicing the diaphragmatic breath will help make it a more normal breathing routine for you.
❤😂Thank you for all you do. You and Quinn are both amazing. I am doing between the fingers and toes and the calves and the breathing but still have a lot of pain and stiffness both in the forearms and the upper arms and wondered if you have a video for that? Or will working between the fingers help with that? I seem to be progressing in the feet and the calves but not so much in the arms. Any advice or video suggestions?
Hi there! As Deanna says, the hands and feet are the puppet masters to our core. It is great that you are doing the hands and feet work. Check out these videos. They should help, but we also want to address the body as a whole to get at the cause sites. www.youtube.com/@Fluidisometrics/search?query=forearms
Hi there! Do you know about the root? Watch this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-GHUP9fAvvoY.htmlsi=oQDmykeh62BK-7Zv It may help you to incorporate the rooting action Deanna speaks of to help you stand.
Hi there! Watch this video. It's about flexibility, but it shows the calf position that will help release your calves. You can do the position all along the length of your calf if it needs it. You should also incorporate the foot work. Here's a video that explains what to do: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-9Y0yejRjP88.htmlsi=zVchxvJmD2uYuJQ1
