I had one in 2000 but tis bike is not made for running only for collecting .there are only few models and they were made for racing and changing motor after every race.in the contrary case motor broken
I had a 86 and loved it. I had it tor a couple years and sold it. I regretted it so much that i tracked it down a bought it back. It was very fast i had it up to 150 and it was still climbing. My nephew had a 94 900rr he kept telling me how fast it was. I know him and his bike was a 100 lbs lighter than my and mine so we raced. I was about half a bike lenght ahead of him when we jumped on it. He never passed me and had another gear. He couldn't believe my old heavy bike gave him a run for his money. The worst thing about my 86 was the seat, it was not comfortable but i guess it was a track bike. I still miss it.
Dude. Excellent. Miss my '85. Many roads were shredded. Most underrated and nearly forgotten RARE Honda VF-1000R. That year, in the annual cycle mag' "superbike shootout" articles, the VF finished 3rd in the 1/4 times: so everyone bought the newly-introduced FJ Yamaha and V-Max instead. Those of us without attention-deficit disorder read the entire article and discovered the reason it finished 3rd: the PROS couldn't keep it from shredding tires through the 1/4. I embarrassed many an FJ and V-Max rider with this wonderful beast of a bike...and that GEAR WHINE! :D Great video.
