I am a mixed media textile artist, designer and author based in the Cambridgeshire Fens, UK with a passion for all things vintage who loves to dabble with old and new....
My designs usually start with a thread or two and I simply let them dance their little story across the cloth.
I love sharing my passions for slow stitching and textile art & encouraging everyone to find their own creative smile! Hopefully I can persuade you to have a creative dabble too...
I also love sharing my nature walks & talks with Mother Earth whenever I wander.
Hope you enjoy a little nosey into my creative world...

I picked up a few of these bobbins with yarn on them at an Antique mall in the USA on a trip to see our daughter from western Canada! So far they are just decorations but this gives me an idea!!
Just discovered your channel, and look forward to watching your other videos. I have both your books and love your stitched art! Will be making my first scroll soon!

I have just discovered you and your beautiful work. I have one of your books on loan from the library at the moment and will hold on to it as long as possible and then go and buy my own copy when I have to return it. I can't bear the thought of being without it and its wonderful inspiration and ideas. I am definitely going to have a go at some of the projects and am putting together a little box of items to work with. So pleased to find you on RU-vid - new subscriber.
I have your book and its absolutely gorgeous! So many lovely little projects and easy to achieve as well. The hard part is choosing which project to do lol.
I watchhed this video and immediately went to find some of those bobbins. Well, they are pricey, so I made my own out of paper, not as big, mind you, but it came out just fine. I'm about to stamp some words on my finished piece and then back it and roll it up. These might be addicting! There are 3 more in the planning stages. I love the concept and have to go looking for your book now.
@@ljcmsw well done! When I worked in education many years ago I was a Visual Impairment Specialist and taught many children with additional needs. Many were in wheelchairs and so Stitch bobbins back then were my lesson plans as I could lay the tactile resources across their trays. I used to create my own bobbins out of the inner tubes from kitchen rolls filled with stones to use as a weight, then covered them by sewing them inside the cloth. They were my go-to favourites!
Thank you @DottyBeeVintage I love working with snippets of elegance 💕 I created this with my Embellishing machine and then added some slow stitching to enhance their beauty.
I have both of your books and they are so so lovely so many beautiful projects to make! Lots of ideas too. How long did your scroll stitching project take! So many gorgeous stiches!. Thank You for sharing.
I just recently bought your book . I lost my mom in February and have lots of vintage fabrics and notions to use in memory pieces. Your a lovely teacher.
