Hi. I must commend you for what you do. Indeed, this particular tutorial was splendid and spot-on. Please, if we had to deal with colonial forms of phytoplankton such as Pediastrum sp., Volvox sp. or Coelastrum sp., which could exist in colonies of 8 cells, 16 cells, and so on. How would you suggest that we count them per ml? Would it be ideal to count the colony as a whole or would it be preferable to count the individual cells that make up each colony? Thanks, in advance.

I have always counted individuals within the colnies as they are all individuals.

Thank you! This year our field course went remote and we are having to fiure out the sampling for our individual research by ourselves. This was very helpful!
