Nice! I have a lot of pianos I never use. Many sound very similar. I use Alicia's Keys a lot for sketching as it's quick to bring up in KK 😊 However, my main Go To piano is the Deep Grandeur preset.
Thanks for comparison. I try other pianos from time to time but keep going back to Logic Yamaha Grand which for me tends to be the best sounding piano fit.
@@MH-1954 I was the same - long term Logic guy. But lately, I’m enjoying piano-like sounds. The Arturia Augmented Geand got me started, now I’m using a few different pianos where I might have stuck with the Yamaha, Steinway or Boesendorfer in the past.
I really hope 76 key need come onto manufacturer’ radar. I use lots of Kontakt libraries with key switches. 61 keys aren’t enough & 88 keys has too big of a footprint
For Battery conversion, a simpler method would be to load the kit you would like and use the 'Save As' function within Battery. In that option you have the ability to save the samples in the kit in a folder then just import those files into Logic or whatever sampler you choose!
just to clarify there is nothing free, independent artists and without conditions audimee is free only for feedback, ideas and training, it's just to try the free plan does not allow you to use the vocals to distribute your songs, it's good to read the terms before using or distributing your music, however I can say that it is on a good track and works well with small and not so serious errors!
No. Logic has no 'suggest' mode for chords. Scaler 2 does. Ripchord is a source for chord progressions from popular songs and used extensively with Ableton, and FL DAW users.
You mentioned the Hammond B3 having the lower bottom octave preset keys reducing the number of playing keys. That's not the case. Both manuals have 61 playable keys and an octave of preset keys in addition on the left. In addition to my MIDIfied Hammond, I have a A-49, an A-500 and an A-88 in addition to several A-33s and they are all great for various purposes :-)
Jeff lots of information but for an absolute beginner I am still confused by geting the signal to my DAW as in Inputs and outputs and the best way to do that. I couldnt really get that from this vid.
I really appreciate your detailed reviews. Unlike many reviewers, you have obviously taken the time to actually use and understand the tool you are reviewing. Well done sir! And I would have used your link to buy them, but already have the bundle. Least now I know how to use them!
What plug-in automatically reads my old unfinished wav songs suggesting drums i apply to intro verse … and reading again suggesting bass but limiting ducking problems? Easy.
I can get 3 month free trial i think with drummer session? But you said you could do it? I am newbie. What is your email please? and If I take an almost finished 3 minute song track has synths and vocals and arrangement and it needs matching melodic rhythmic bass, whiz I might have solved but needs drums can I do it in logic basically automatically like ai matches spacing of chords and with ongoing varying notes in each bar over 3 minutes as a noobie? Like scaler 2 than Captain plug-ins or ezkeys to ezdrummer 3 add in ez bass? What’s the best easy way? Limiting sidechain noise ducking problems maximizing groove beat energy
Looks like BeatMaker 2 targets electronic and single samples, whereas the Authentic Pro bundle targets higher quality multi-samples for acoustic style drums. Have you reviewed the Authentic Pro instruments?
Do you ever feel that the program gets slow at some point? I’m not sure if it’s because mine is always running analyses. Do you have any tips regarding this?
@@unstoppablesoundsx yes. If it gets stuck in “analyzing” delete ADSR Sample Manager, download the latest and install it. You’ll have to re-scan, rebuild your library indexes. I’ve had to do this once before.
How do you set the Firewire device to follow the interface's clock and have it match the interface's sample rate and bit depth without reaching its control interface from the computer?
My MOTU 8Pre has a front panel to set the sampling rate, and the clock source was determined in the UAD Console ‘settings’. In fact, if I change the sampling rate and bit depth on the Console settings, the MOTU 8 pre adjusts. So, it must send instructions to the MOTU interface via ADAT. I’m actually, not quite sure why it works.
How would I go about doing this set up? 1.) I have an Alesis Q88 controller only that I want to use for recording the software sounds only. 2.) I then want to hook up a Yamaha csx6, Korg Karma, Roland XP 10 and use all symotanaously in my recordings so when playing back in a project I can use the sounds in these classic keyboards
@@jmaikisch you’ll need a usb midi hub to connect all those keyboards. I have an old eMagic MT4, but there are lots on Amazon. Which DAW are you using?
Useful video. I appreciate your presenting these, some of which I have. Here's a favorite of mine, although it can be a little finicky to retain my custom settings -- the free Norrland Trumpet. Lots of mutes, reverb, and adjustable vibrato, but like I said, the vibrato tends to disappear if I don't set it and then freeze it immediately in my DAW. Having lengthy experience conducting and performing in orchestras, I know what a real trumpet should sound like, versus a synthesized one. With a little adjusting, I can make this thing sound startingly real.
scaler 2 is complicated and it seems to give a complicated many note midi but I want a baseline, just cut the root notes out of it? but how to do that? which ones to take? will captain give only those so its ready to go midi? and drums too great but don't want complicated synth chords for a two track vocal and synth sample to use for drums or I get phases issues, simple better? what's good that reads the sample and matches key and beat and timing of the bass and drums? anything? matching ai samples too has a lot of instruments so don't want Beethoven
Ok but what software can read an ai sample a full song with vocal and synth but needs drums and bass? So ai or Softwsre uploads my sample and reads it and suggests matching drums and bass line avoiding phase issues by block notes to duck less and sound smooth? Which ? Captain instacomposer Scaper ripchord chord ai etc??? It needs to read the sample first before it suggests chords not just match the key but the beat etc feeling
I have seen many videos about the Apollos and you have done the best job thus far! Thank you! The main question I ask is, if I only want to use 2-3 plugins at a time, is it worth getting the twin or x4? Or can I use a solo? I only need one input but do I need more processing power?
Totally reasonable question. I'm often only using 2 or 3 plugins when tracking/recording but quickly found I'd use 4 or 5 in multiple instances when mixing. I found the Twin X Duo core was not enough, and upgraded to the x4 with Quad CPUs. You might get by ok with a solo, but then later decide you need more. The bundle of UAD plugins usually gives you both the hardware/cpu versions and the native 'x' versions of the plugins. If you have Mac M1 or better computer, you can run the native versions, saving some of the burden on the solo.
When I first downloaded this amazing app I thought it would work with GarageBand which is what I use for my songs, unfortunately I can’t which sucks because I’m really into heavy/death metal music. GarageBand an most of their sound packs for that genre are pretty non existent. Oh well
