I run a 390 LC high and wide and it is an incredible package for operating at ground level and it’s more stable than a standard 350 size machine. High and wide makes loading hall trucks on the same ground level as you you far easier.
I wish the travel and turning while dozing could be operated through the joystick instead of the pedals. One of the few complaints I have about this machine
Does anyone know how the SK85 compares to a CAT 309? I see the CAT 309 has high-flow hydraulics which would be great for running a mulcher. The SK85 seems to be very close in size and weight.
I can tell you at repair time you will be glad to have the Kobelco. The parts prices are about half of cat. There is no way the cat is more dependable. We have had really good experience with kobelco.
Kobelco is impressing again...Im a buyer for many reasons but mainly due to the benefits mentioned above, the kind of customer support you get with these machines is what separates Kobelco from the rest of the pack, when my guys run into an issue I can get a solution fast and relatively pain free. Mike, what do you want a JCB for? The quality machines are from Kobelco, Cat, etc. maybe in India the JCB are what you want, Ill be spending my dollars on these new SK85's.
