The Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources’ mission is to conserve, protect and enhance Kentucky’s fish and wildlife resources and provide outstanding opportunities for hunting, fishing, trapping, boating, shooting sports, wildlife viewing, and related activities.
Went here yesterday and probably will not return. I was aware that it was shallow but was not prepared for exactly how shallow it really was. It does not match the bathymetry maps of the lake. I also think that KDFW should make this a posting on their website of the lake as a warning that the lake is extremely shallow.
The audio is truly awful but the information and presentation style is incredible! Would love to see this presentation live, or reuploaded with better audio!
Thank you for your question. Here is what the Kentucky fishing guide has to say concerning a KY license. BIG SANDY and TUG FORK RIVERS Anglers with a valid Kentucky fishing license may fish the entire main stem of the Big Sandy and Tug Fork rivers from the confluence of the Ohio and Big Sandy Rivers upstream to the Virginia state line. Kentucky anglers can fish from a boat or on West Virginia’s bank without buying a West Virginia fishing license. This does not apply to fishing West Virginia’s tributaries or embayments, which begin at a straight line between opposite points where the tributary or embayment meets the main stem of the river. Kentucky anglers fishing from West Virginia’s bank must follow their size and creel limits. However, Kentucky anglers fishing the main stem from a boat must follow Kentucky’s size and creel limits. Please check with West Virginia's fishing regulations if you hold a WV fishing license.
I’m glad you mentioned the male coming from Texas. I asked once when I was there, I knew it wasn’t a Kentucky cat. Bobcats actually outnumber foxes in several area of Kentucky now. They came on strong about the time deer and turkey got plentiful. Coyotes came in and displaced the foxes and the cats filled their place.
Pennyrile State Forest. It now includes 14,379 acres of forest. These leases were sustained until 1954, when the property was deeded (with certain reservations) by the U.S. government to the Commonwealth. How does the U.S. GOV deed anything to the PEOPLE? The U.S. GOV was Hired by the PEOPLE and WORKS for the PEOPLE! It is a State Criminal Act if the EMPLOYEE"S Manage or Create ANYTHING! ONLY the People tell the employee's what to do! READ YOUR BILL of RIGHTS! It is the only rule book that all LAWS are written under by LAW! All you have to do is read it! Ask anyone who swore an Oath to Protect YOU and the Constitution of the United State of America to recite the Bill of Rights and you will find out that not one of them can recite it or know anything about it! Ask them! Ask yourself! Can you recite the Bill of Rights? This is awesome, does anyone have any more information about the migration of white bass into salt river during the fall? I'd love to target them this year, but I'm not sure how far up it they go! I have a foldable kayak and am thinking about launching from the rock quarry :) need to know weather I need to go twords the lake or further down the river!
From my understanding of how fish breath, your explanation can be(is) misleading. Fish do not breath the O from H2O. They breath the O that is dissolved in the H2O.. Also you never answer the question of the largest species of fish in the State of Kentucky. You did state that Blue Catfish can grow to be 150lbs. But never stated whether that is the largest species in Kentucky. Over all it’s a great video.
Campbell county….saw a bear in my backyard, and a friend that lives about 5 miles from me sends me pictures all the time drinking out of his pond. They’re cool, and should be left alone to do their thing.
Life long hunters and people who put in the time and work deserve a better shot I’ve been applying since I was a child, I’m 29 now and never been drawn you use the first time cases to steer people away from seeing how messed up this system is, I would have drawn several times by now with points
Due to the decline in numbers of turkeys in Kentucky over the last few years, I think they need to suspend the harvest of hens in the fall. Also thru county extension offices, encourage land owners to use bush-hogging practices that reduce the possible destruction of eggs during the nesting season. Should also encourage hunting and trapping of egg eating predators like possum, coons, skunks etc. Fur prices being down has discouraged trappers and reduced their incentive to continue harvesting these type of animals. Hopefully they will realize fur prices shouldn't be the only reason they harvest these type animals.
That big solid coulor deer will see. Don't matter if its black green orange or purple. The whole idea is to break up your siluett,, its not about coulor, but you know how the state is should let you use and orange vest. With some black streaks to break up your siluett. And a orange hat,,,
Sounds like you're having some audio problems with the video. I don't think we have enough bats in this world. Too many insects. When I lived on my mom's farm I had one bat show up, when I turned the security light on, to fest on the bugs that were attracted to the light. He must have kept his honey hole to himself because he was always alone.
