I just played my worst game of blood bowl. As the player coach I must have failed every really stupid roll. I missed being in tackle zones, standing up players, etc. I won 1-0 solely because his dice rolls were worse than my coaching. I scored because his ball varrier failed a go for it going into the end zone his turn 8. Crowd threw ball out from endzone to sideline to his blitzer who fumbled it towatds his endzone into the hands of my lineman fumbled it towards his endzone and into the handsmy runner who caught it. He ran it to my other runner, 2 go for it's, quick pass, catch, 2 go for it's for a td.
Gnomes turn 1, 2nd tree should have rolled take root first, then stand up. So that 2+ could have been a take root roll :) this was forgot on turn 2 as well so I'll assume you aren't familiar with Trees.
Gnome 13 and the dodgy Valk deserve the fan MVPs for getting the TDs in that game They made it work when it counted with so many things were failing around them
Great episode as always lads - but I'm surprised you missed the brief clip of the "Second Season Edition" box which had red/black color scheme. I wouldn't be surprised if we got a new 2 player box with Chorfs and another team before the end of the year to replace the last box :)
Great game as always! I'm starting a bloodbowl league for my local club and thought I would run gnomes. I'm thinking 4 rerolls, all the positionals and 3 line gnomes to make 11 players with an apothacary leaving 80k in the kitty and reduce the team value so that I can more likely access Rodney or acorn and in areas the chance of mvp getting on a positional. Is this a good idea or a very bad one? 2 line gnomes or 1 star seems like a fair trade on paper at least. Have any of you tried this
One of the Valks for an mvp, honestly. Fire Cuddles straight into the ocean. He is just a massive tv tax on the Norse team. Fun, do not get me wrong, but a player with his track record... no. Bring more linemen or Beer Boars.
Well he is a little more than I thought he would be. But he is the only str 5 guy that can move 9 so that big. He 2016 cost was 330k so I thought he would be like 260-280k.
@@backslash0 I think you are right every team has 0-12 to 16 of base linemen. SO 8 Hobgolins 320k + 2 Stabbbers let say they are 55k so 110k that 430k Throw in a Bull Centaur 130k and Hark 300k =860 plus 2rr= 140k =1000k, That allows you some leeway to change a hobgolin into a Chaos Dwarf add a 3rd rr as well.
Unfortunately you will never be able to afford him on a chaos dwarf team. Unless the team takes a big hit in positionals and cost in players/rerolls. You might see him play for other teams, but there are better options at that pricerange.
I would sure hope he's Str 5. That would make his Break Tackle a 2+ instead of a 3+. His old version also has Block, Juggernaut and Sure Feet on top of the mentioned skills.
The article makes it sound like he has more skills on top of the teased ones, so likely Block will show up. And I imagine teams that get to choose their favoured of god (Chosen, Renegade, Norse) will be allowed to pick Hashut once the rules drop.
Now that they introduced the Favored of Hashut into Blood Bowl, I think it time that they should change Glart, Hakflem, Kreek, and Skitter to have the Favored of the Great Horn Rat.
Technically yes, if they choose Hashut as the Chaos God they play for when they created the team. Honestly, GW should really fix the "Favored of..." and have the Star Players show what Chaos God that they play for, and then say that they can only play for these God, unless they have the Chaos Chaos Undivided, then they can play for any team, and like wise for any team that have Chaos Undivided, that they have access to all the "Favored of..." Star Players.

Bit late to bring this up, but am I the only one who'd be interested in having a Wizard team added to Blood Bowl? As in you get to run up to 8 Wizards, one from each of the different Colleges of Magic, and each one has one or two spells they can use to screw with the other team, at the cost of the more overt spells being treated as a fouling action that can get the Wizard casting it sent off the pitch regardless of whether or not the spell succeeds. So a Wizard team would have to run a lot of bribes, and the Wizards themselves would be generally terrible at actually handling the ball and/or engaging in combat to start, so they'd be reliant on a contingent of bog-standard linemen, and the loss of a Wizard due to injury or death would be a huge setback because a Wizard would understandably be a very expensive player to recruit.
I won my league the previous season with the 1st presented roster. Ogre+4 blitzers+1 thrower is the core of a human team and you must pick them day 1, especially to get the mvp on the ogre (i got 2 on him during the 3 first games :) ) .
