I think you prolly overtightened both those bolts causing the break, they are low torque bolts look up the torque specs, I’m going to be running this kit in a week or so, I’ll eat my words if I have issues, but from what I have seen these run great in off road applications, the install is key , I’m using T bolt clamps instead of what it comes with, will be using thread lock on that tension bolt, and lowering redline to 8100 rpm, don’t leave the kit man just remember with great power there comes great responsibility , the responsibility is on the installer to torque everything to spec and to follow the instructions, I have seen tons of these kits with no issues, but it’s usually old gear heads who don’t post on social media much, they just keep maintaining and drive the car in its new form, love the content bro hope for the best
8th gen kw owner here. i did a 105mm pulley swap and and it gained me 45-50hp more. i would do that first and make your decision, of wanting more power.
Did the M340i just put ethanol in with the stock tune? I know the B58 picks up power even on the stock tune with a splash of ethanol added (e15-25) cause of timing corrections
