hello great video. question, when m corridor crosses the centerline the sections begin to look funky. seems like its doing what its suppose to but im missing some components in the cross sections
Is there a way to organize the profiles in the pulldown by numerical or alphabetical order? It appears that they are only listed in the order they were created, and I can't find where the index is that stores this list.
good video. is it possible to to select multiple form fields and paste information at the same time. for example you have first name, second name, address in the example and if i had that information in excel i could copy in paste in one go for all three fields? if not is there another way to do this?
Importing a drawing from the map explorer in the task pane is archaic. It only allows importing from my C drive, which is almost full because Its a small drive I use only for my OS. I cannot select different drives. How they havent updated this is crazy. Griping aside, this was still very helpful. Learned a lot!
Lots of good info. You kinda breezed over Creating Surface from Point Cloud. Whenever I created a surface it was completely empty. After trial and error I found out I needed to change settings in the Style. Just an extra 20 second explanation of this would have saved me a lot of time.
Applied Software, Graitec Group could you tell me how I can import the data for GIS info that I received that only has the following file types: .PRJ; .SBN; .SBX; .SHP.XML (it is combined like that); .SHX? Thank you. If I missed it from this video, feel free to point me to that timestamp.
Sorry for the late reply here. I'm no longer with Graitec, but I feel obliged to check in every now and then and answer questions. A SHP file is comprised of the PRJ file (coordinate system projection file), an SBN or SBX file (spatial index file), a SHP.XML file can sometimes be included (geospatial metadata in XML format), and possibly and IDX file (AutoCAD index file). The only file you import into Civil 3D is the SHP file. However, don't discard the other supporting files because they are what the software refers to when importing the file. A SHP file alone without the supporting files is practically worthless.
Thank you so much for this video! It may be old but still very relevant today! I had done a lot of Civil 3D with a company a few years ago but always had post processed data given to me. Now that I am working on a school project I have to find the raw data myself so this is mostly new to me (plus my C3D skill are rusty too cause its been a few years ahah). You are a real lifesaver!!
At 45:09 you mention that you can use batch slip sheet or sets to add new drawings to your set. Then you say that each of them serve different purposes. What do you mean by that, I didn’t understand. Don’t they do the exact same thing, just different buttons to do the exact same thing?
Great Work But i tried on a small Concrete project 4 columns and 4 beams and 1 slab Then Compare with Etabs & SAFE it's completely Different the value from Advanced Design Is Less Than Etabs by 4 ton meter and less than Safe By 2 ton meter when i applied 0.5 ton meter on beams it's length is 6.7m the moment My on Beam on dead load case was 1 meter ton and when you applied the low of moment for simple beam you will find W*L^2/8 it will be equal 3.37 meter ton W = 0.5 ton/meter L= 6.7meter in etabs result was 4.5 meter ton in safe result was 4.1 meter ton but in advanced result was 1 meter ton and I'm sure the material and every thing is the same if you know why i will be so happy if you helped me and thanks for video
We appreciate your question! We would like to learn more about your model in order to answer your question. Please forward your comment with your name and email address to support.us@graitec.com so that we can work with you to answer this!
Thanks! This is very helpful. I was able to do this but there is this one file that when I do the create page labels shows gibberish symbols instead of the actual text, what seems to be the problem? Do uou know how to fix it? Thanks
I have a set of drawings with finish codes on the elevations that reference a external finishes schedule. Is there a way to link this too? I cant seem to figure out how
So it looks like I need to stick with BBR 2021 as I manage lots of Technical Manuals in pdf format. Drawing management are only a small % of what I do. I have about 200 TM that I have started to hyperlink to each other...will all these hyper links get broken if I move to cloud? Eventually I assume it will all be on cloud and not need a "downloaded" app. I want to go cloud as I have Onshape and it works fantastic...Hoping that BBR will work the same...
Do you know why viewers are unable to submit RFI's? Seems like it would be handy to have a sub for instance have the ability to request more information from the design team (sub likely on a viewer account, design team on paid). Seems like a missed feature.
