If you're someone who doesn't take themselves too seriously about organ music and songs from a bygone era then you might enjoy my channel. If you happen to be a person who grew up with doo-wop and rock n' roll, you might enjoy my channel. If any of your hobbies or interests include lawn mowers of all sizes and ages, old radios, televisions, specialized antenna installations, you might enjoy my channel. Be warned, my organ and keyboard playing is all by ear. I only fake everything I play and it may not be correct for a perfectionist's ear! At my age, I really don't care what people say or think, life's too short,,,that's why I'm shrinking!!!
First hear this on WTRY while attending the State University of New York in Cobleskill in October of 1959. Certainly brings back some wonderful memories of the time when music was great and was simple.

If 1010 WINS - which was already two years into its "all news, all the time" format by this point - ran Denison's ads, who would've been more likely to read their iambic pentameter ad copy - Paul Sherman, or Stan (Z.) Burns? Mr. Burns sounded more "folksy" in comparison in his delivery, Mr. Sherman's sounded more in line with Mr. Greer's delivery. Either one would probably begin with "And now, a commercial message from Denison, The Men's Clothier of Route 22 in Union, NJ . . . " before going off. Or maybe Don Baldwin? Or whoever was on duty on the overnights (in that period, including Tuck Stadler, Irwin Brown, Bill Jay, Clarence Rock and Brad Sherman)?
Got a feelin' it's all over now All over now we're through And tomorrow I'll be lonesome REMEMBERING YOU. Got a feelin' the sun will be gone The day will be long and blue And tomorrow I'll be cryin' REMEMBERING YOU. There's a faraway look in your eye when you try to pretend to me That ev'rything is the same as it used to be. I see it's all over now All over now we're through And tomorrow I'll be startin' REMEMBERING .... Sad because we're partin' REMEMBERING .... Consolate my heart in REMEMBERING YOU.
The first time I heard this in "To The Lake" I pissed my pants when I heard the tiger purr imitation Ms. Stevens did so well: "wahwahwewahhwoahh". It was so out of the blue and quite campy. Great memories of my mom and I laughing so hard we cried.
