You should be buying the Sailbarge for the Sailbarge. Like any set, you should be buying it primarily for the build the sole focus of the set, I don't like collectors who do so otherwise. And if you actually look at it, come on this is freaking huge, highly detailed build, fantastic interior and a solid mini figure selection and Im so glad they didn't skimp out on Slave Leia/Huttslayer Leia. I don't understand why you're focusing on additional things that aren't the main product you're actually buying the set for, it's like buying a chocolate cake and complaining/saying that it would have been nice with Jam knowing that's never offered not the thing you brought it for in the first place.
UCS has Never been affordable. It's a Luxury item for enthusiasts, it's in the name people 🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️Ultimate Collectors Series 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥people who havethe money/those who can afford it 😮💨. If you can't you'd buy the Skiff as it's a playset for general consumers, there's an underlying theme of being content here and yeah ofc it sucks, but I'm not as bothered as I used to be, as I buy sets I like and can afford. Both have to factor in or I don't buy the set, I don't succumb to FOMO either with it becoming too common in the community and now as I've gotten older/have my own money I'm starting to get into that £180-250 price point so having to choose is something you just have to do. With the Skiff and Sarlacc it's a pretty solid build so I'd be satisfied owning that and the additional Nien Numb is a bonus and then some as I can put in my Falcon just need to buy a General Lando minifigure and have an ROTJ falcon lol. Some people forget these companies and brands are simply business all they want is your money and they appeal to everyone so that's meeting the higher end and low end alike. Same thing with the PS5 Pro situation you can still play games on your base PS5 and to me in their showcase there was no difference, you don't have to buy it yes it's marketed as the best PlayStation experience but general consumers don't have £700 to drop so the product isn't for you!!! I can also see that just because you can't afford it means you should be able to comment on the price, everyone has an opinion. The Sarlacc is an additional piece which wasn't offered in the 2013 Set so I don't know why people thought It'd be offered now. Plus whether you like it or not it's a choice to complete the full scene you don't have to. They're not forcing you to buy it, it comes down to preference again like the PS5 Pro Stand/Disc Drive it's a preference not everyone will want it but if you're a ROTJ/OT fan ofc you're going to want the complete scene and guess what you'll pay for LEGO wants your money, if you're a physical collector for PS guess what they're banking on you buying these additional pieces again they're a business not your friend.
Yet another Star Wars Lego kit that falls within the "it's cool and I like it but it's not worth the price tag" category. They really should have included the skiff in the kit; as it is it feels like a cheap cash-grabbing scheme. Imma pass on this one, if I'm spending $500, I'd rather shoot for a retired UCS set, like the Sandcrawler or the Ewok Village.
For a UCS set...this is just lacking. It is not fig scale...the skimped on figs and really lacks that UCS feel. Definitely no value per part. Lego pulled the same shit here as they did with the UCS hulk buster. It should have included the buildable Ironman for the price and this set ABSOLUTELY should have included the sarlac pit, the skiff and all those other figures for the price. Instead Lego gouges again and makes it two sets that are both over priced. Lego is getting greedy again.
No side leg printing or dualed moulded leg for 3po despite the force awakens being a little promo having it Plus not mention this is a 500 dollar set? Unacceptable!
@@Just_A_Rock__ but its problem that your clearly over looking. It’s not worth not buying the set over but it’s just ticks me off why is so hard to give 3PO proper printing?
@@DonotsYUM Ok then here’s a better question for you if that’s the case This 500 dollar set and it’s also marketed as a UCS set. So why not give 3PO a dual mould leg and side leg printing? For that price I’d expect 3PO to be printed properly why is that so hard?

Dissapoint with bib fortuna... I am not complainng about lego design much, but this I dont get it... Why fat "lekku" when he didnt have fat tails in return of the jedi
I'm not exactly a WE NEED MINIFIGS kind of person, I can appreciate and love a set without minifigs. But for 500usd, I feel we should have at least gotten a couple more identical thugs at the very least and a desert skiff. It could have been a recreation of the same desert skiff thats currently out. There were so many unique characters on Jabba's sail barge at the time, it brings me back to the Mos Eisley Cantina set, they were able to give us sooooo many of the unique characters. We got 21 figures in a 400usd set. But here, we got 10 figures and Jabba (Who, I guess is work 5 figures LOL). I would have loved having a near full party on the sail barge! Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not about to throw a fit and act like that they didn't give everything me what I want so I'm gonna act like I got nothing, I just personally wish Lego went just a tiny bit above and beyond like what they randomly seem to do. Honestly! I'll be picking this set up once it's on a decent sale, like at least 20% or more.
The build is pretty good, price isn’t bad but could have include more mini figs. The mini-figures are great, expect for Kithaba and Bib Fortuna. Kithaba should have been in the skiff set, and Bib should have used the 2012 headpiece. I wish Tessek, Salelt-Marae, and Ree Yees would have been in this set. They would have been great inclusions. Overall besides from the price and 3 minifigures, the set isn’t that bad. Edit: The mold for Crumb is good, the removal of pupils does make it look soulless.
That’s why Legos such a tricky bastard. They sell you a $70 desert skiff 2 months before the big ol sail barge come out so they can get you to pay more for less worth
It looks amazing, especially with the full interior. It is a bit disappointing they didn't make an alien with a new head mold. For $500 this set would have really benefited from just a few more of the new minifigs. We should've gotten someone like the ishi tib or yak face for sure and would have been awesome to get the other astromech in this scene R2-S4M. Very disappointed they reused the fat Bib Fortuna mold they should have made a new mold for his head for this set. And especially surprised they didn't put the dual molded C3PO in this set considering it's in the landspeeder and buildable 3PO. Overall the build looks amazing. Glad I picked up the old Ree Yees for it.
For me, it´s pretty underwhelming. If you compare it to the last playsets of the Sail Barge, it´s just a bit more details, especially on the inside, but 4x the price. On top, you only get half the minifigures of this scene, the other half is an extra 80 bucks. So overall 580$? Not sure
Looks good and the minifigs look good too. I would say the set is a tad small and for the price we're paying we should get more minifigs. They could have removed C3PO and R2D2 and added two more Gamorrean guards since those are hard to find but the droids comes in several sets every year.
I like how the interior matches the Hasbro sail barge because it really solidifies the idea that this is what's inside the barge in the movie. I can't complain about the price because I've already accepted that I can't afford legos anymore lol. I wish they hadn't given max rebo human legs because I like the original idea that he's playing the instrument with his feet instead of his hands also I feel the characters in this set are too boring for 500$ like jabba's minions all have minifigure heads and they aren't very memorable or beloved characters,, we've gotten Leia, r2, c3po, bib, gamorean, klaatu, max rebo, before so they really shouldve switched one out for someone new like sy snootles or yakface. And I know that would require new pieces but it's 500$
