When I was a teenager, I had a spinning reel that had a little handle on it, so that when you wound the handle backwards, it would come to the top, and when you extended your index finger to pick up the line, you pulled that lever and it opened the bail. I have no idea what this feature is called, and I can't find a single spinning reel in any tackle store, fishing equipment store, or sporting goods store anywhere that has this function. What is that called, and where can I find a reel with it?

When putting the spool in hot water you will want to remove your drag washers. Otherwise you will be soaking your fiber drag washers in water. Not good.
