A little bit about me - I love everything about skincare and makeup, so in my spare time I make beauty videos to share here on RU-vid. I also have a Masters degree in Developmental Psychology! My Mum was a makeup artist, so as a child I got to play around with loads of old makeup samples and I guess I just never stopped! My favourite thing in makeup is creating a flawless and natural-looking base, so you'll notice that many of my videos feature light to medium coverage foundations and cream blush and highlight products to create glowing skin.
I bought the same products in the same shades that you did. I was really disappointed in them both. They did nothing for me either. I gave the concealer serum to a friend of mine who doesnt have dark circles like I do, and she likes it. I used to put a powder foundation on top of the skin tint, and now after watching this I may mix it with a full-coverage foundation also just to use it up. I love most Beauty Pie products and have purchased many of them, but like you I've been very disappointed in their face products.
I can totally see what you are saying it is these small details that actually make a huge difference ❤😊wow that blue or green or teal you have on at the end of the video is so beautiful and certainly your color!
If this will help any one...I have oily skin and the triple Hyaluronic cream in the pink glass jar is perfect for me, it's actually reduced my oils as it is hydrating my skin ❤
In case it helps anyone reading- I have dry skin and recently have had stubborn eczema patches on my eyelids that have been really uncomfortable, and the happy face moisturiser was my saviour ! Dramatically better overnight, repairing the skin barrier and just so quenching even tho it’s a gel
Ive just ordered my first ever beauty pie subscription I'm really hoping i wont be dissapointed and have just been pulled in by their marketing , time will tell
I paid $59 for a Beauty Pie membership to buy the discovery kit for fragrances and now none of the fragrances are available for sale online. I do really like orange absolute and I would like to purchase it but their customer service frankly sucks and I can’t get an answer as to when any of these fragrances will be available online and I cannot stand any of their other products. Their Marketing duped me into thinking it was more like an Ipsy where you can purchase high-end for less-- nope. They make sub-par skincare and try to say they’re high-end. Anyway-- I just want the Orange Absolute. Any ideas?
I'm sorry, that really sucks. I can only advise you to contact them and complain. Maybe they will be able to tell you when it will be restocked or maybe you can ask for a refund. As for their products, it is hit and miss, but I find that with many brands. There are products that I like and stand by. But if you decide you don't want to purchase anything from the brand I would suggest asking for a refund of your membership fee. Good luck!
I’ve never tried anything from beauty pie and sounds amazing! I might have to do a full face of testing their products on my channel! I’ve just found your content and I can’t wait to see more ❤
Super helpful! I think I will be trying out her Light Wonder foundation. I have to first run out of my Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua, which is a nice foundation but it oxidizes on me a little too much (and I always wear the lightest shade in any foundation). Hopefully this one doesn’t do that. I love Charlothe Tilbury products, but haven’t tried any of her foundations before.
I’ve been testing out the beauty pie want and I don’t know what I’m doing wrong but it just looks like a silver streak on my cheekbones and takes my blush away. Do you but your blush on after the highlight? I really want to make it work! X
Yes I do blush after highlight! I find the best way with this is to apply with fingers straight after foundation/concealer so that it can blend into the other base products when they haven't dried down yet xx
My favourite (I use it for all special occasions and I used it on my wedding day) is the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation. Its not full full coverage but its medium to full and I do find it has a smoothing/plumping effect on the skin (it looks great over fine lines and it doesn't sink into my smile lines as much as other foundations)
@@yunababe11 I'm literally so upset that they discontinued it! It was my all time favourite. I wouldn't recommend this new one as a replacement because its nothing like the Magic foundation. The wear is definitely nowhere near as long, the coverage is way less, and there's the flashback issue. I'm currently searching for a replacement. I really want to try the Lisa Eldridge foundation but I don't know what shade to order so I'm waiting for their sample cards to be restocked. But if I find a good replacement I will definitely make a video about it!
Great review! As someone with a cool/beige undertone, I’m always irritated when foundations are labeled as “cool” or “neutral” and are clearly super warm; I don’t quite understand the people making these foundation colors…like have they ever seen anyone with a cool undertone before?? Thanks for such a thorough and honest review!
Thank the for this review! I needed your video to let me know how to open the pack, loooooool. Doing this peel right now so will come back to leave another comment at the end of my 10 days.
Sorry for such a slow reply! It's a Real Techniques one that I've had for aaaaages, but I don't think they make this specific one any more. I have lots of other brushes from them though and they're all great!
