I was big on Jimmy in 2019. That said, he seems to no longer have the athleticism he had back then which wasn’t that impressive. I think he’s on the decline.
What a great season. And Jimmy played really good. Lot's of split-second decisions that were good. Only a mere few that weren't. I'll never understand the hate he got. He was definitely one of the reasons we had a near-unstoppable, relentless competitive spirit that drove the team deep into the post-season. We had the hardest post-season of any team with the longest road games against the highest seeded teams. It just took its toll by the time we got to the NFCC - beat up, exhausted and starting to make mental mistakes affecting both sides of the ball. We just needed a wee bit of recharging rest. If we could've won that game and rested up for the 2 weeks for the SB I'm confident we would've gone all the way. That 2021 49er team had a unique team personality. I'm gonna remember it as one of the special teams.
Play @ 8:48 says a lot about Trey's ability to throw. One smooth motion. Like he already knew where he was gonna go with the ball, which could be dangerous. But he appears to be comfortable in the pocket, even with the quick feet set and throwing release. Not the best of locations to target to throw a pass, but once again he must be comfortable because his receiver was covered good.
no offense to Trey at all because hes just a rookie, I like him, and I think hes going to be great, but this had no pressure. You have to credit Aiyuk with the way he set that up. The throws that really popped in this video were all Jimmy. There is no way someone can watch this video and think Jimmy is trash. I am really excited about Trey and its going to be awesome, but its pretty sad that even our own fanbase can't see that when Jimmy is healthy is he a pretty darn good QB. Problem is he cant stay healthy. We are replacing him becasuse he cant stay healthy, not because hes trash. I hope he can stay healthy at his next destination. Unless its Seattle :P I also hope Lance Thrives and takes the next step!
Great video! This proves that Deebo Samuel wasn't the player who supposedly "Carried us" the whole season! He had explosive plays but he didn't do what other players on the team did as well. (Mitchell had explosive runs, Aiyuk and Kittle had great play as well as the Juice). It was a TEAM effort. Our defense played a major role too! I'm saying this because Deebo acts as if he is the true reason why we went far this year! (We lost many games in a row with him in, and won 3 games when he was out). ;) I like Deebo, but he is NOT worth breaking our bank over, especially now that we signed Ray Ray McCloud who has the potential to provide the same services Deebo has at the fraction of the price Deebo wants!

Here we are a year later and Lance is still a dark cloud over the 49ers. It’s not his fault, but he is circling the drain while Brock Purdy is shining in the sunlight.

I promise you this as long as our front four stays healthy regardless we will get far.But if everyone can just stay healthy its over nobody is stacked with second strings like us and ill stand by that.
