@@drumsnvoice Interesting. I don’t know how a judge could say that’s not the Simpsons just because it’s flipped but here we are. Thanks for telling me.
(The late) Maureen Stapleton was my (late) father’s cousin-in-law. I visited her a number of times backstage at Broadway plays, the Colonial Theatre in Boston (pre-Broadway), and on the set of “Queen of the Stardust Ballroom.” She was a very talented actress and a genuinely nice person.
In 1961 Dick Whittinghill, a DJ on radio station KMPC in Los Angeles, played a version of this song with somewhat different lyrics. I have never been able to find the recording.
I just started to try learning guitar yesterday again doing my best to do some easy version of Eric Clapton and George Harrison songs. Then I realized that I needed to check this box off first just so I can say that I'm at least better than Bart.
@@drumsnvoice Haha thanks and agreed! It's kind of funny that even though I've played the piano and violin on and off for decades, a random song I heard a few days ago made me want to learn it, but the first chord was a D#min... So yeah, I'll still have to work my way up, lol
Good cover. They captured essence and they got the sound and the delay right on the guitar. Percussion is also on point. Good singing. (sound man- board?...) Nicely done. Lots of attention to detail.
