So, the inside information from Doug is that the story takes place in the past and the future. The future version is after Cat has a gender reassignment done by Kryton and is the mother of Lister's twins. Cat, now Cathy, suffers from postpartum depression, PMT, and Alzheimers. Rimmer, made human again, is trying to get with Cathy by pretending to be Lister but Lister finds out so holds Rachael hostage. Kryton tries to fix things between them by building a robotic Kochanski, but does not know how to make the important bits, leaving Dave frustrated. Mech-Kochanski passes her astro-nav testing and becomes an officer, in charge of the crew and reinitializes Hil-Hol but this time with an IQ of 10,000 by merging Hil-Hol with Talkie the Toaster.
I'm going to give it a go and just see how it is like so there are going to be no Cat or Kryten or is it early days when there on the ship as Kryten not there till series 3.
Rob grant isn’t writing a prequel series, he’s writing a prequel book and said if it got made into a series it would have to be a different cast to play the younger versions of Rimmer and lister, that’s all he said, there are no plans for a series from him
@@Jordan5582 why they don't put them as an ebook for at least a sort of reasonable price is sort of mind-blowing to me. Like come 🫴 on now. Like it is so much easier for fans especially younger ones to at least read them. Or just make reprints. Better than nothing.
Selected stores is definitely the word phrase. Here in the North-West, you have to hunt. Usually with no success. Also can B & M stop the scalpers purchasing multiple as it is obvious what they intend to do. They need to stop thinking about profit and consider the customer.
Up until The Power Of The Doctor in 2022, Sarah-Jane and K9 had been the only classic series companions to make an appearance in NuWho. Apart from Ben and Polly in Twice Upon A Time (2017) but they weren’t played by their original actors as was the First Doctor (played by David Bradley instead of William Hartnell).
I remember watching this series back in the day and it was the only Doctor Who episodes I found to be quite a dark story, I was fourteen years old at the time. As for Doctor Who After Tom Baker I had already moved on and had other interests.
Clickbait title. The mini episode was a skit for Children's Week. It's not canon. Even if it was canon, they didnt "change Davros" at all. This is Davros before he was transformed and before he invented the Daleks. Kaleds (his origin species) were humanoids, they look as humans do. We even meet a young Davros as a boy in a Capaldi episode.
and Davros was hurt before the Daleks were around what's the point of Genesis of the Daleks You're the first person to say this even if people don't mind change they never said what you said
Think it's unfortunately just an inherent assumption that the market for it isn’t big enough because of it being a kids show and that the generation who watched it at the time are more into streaming than physical media. Blu-Rays can be expensive to put together and never really overtook DVDs in the physical media market so you're looking at collectors and completists much more and I think rightly or wrongly there's an assumption that upscaling the first 3 series wouldn’t be worth the money it would cost to produce. There's a reason the commentaries on Death of The Doctor were done for the Classic Doctor Who DVD and Blu Ray range instead - think those get a bigger budget cos the BBC knows they'll sell well.
I'm part of that generation and never got into steaming I always prefer DVDs-Blu-ray. I never got into 4K there must be others like me I know a lot of people like you say prefer to stream
@@Jordan5582 Oh I very much collect physical media when it comes to Doctor Who where possible, but it needs to feel worth it and like it's got special features I wouldn't get anywhere else or a good quality upscale/remastering
I was told by them that a couple of my videos had been corrupted but I've noticed this before in the past a couple of videos had gone missing and I never found out why
I so agree with you, when I first seen the RU-vid video I was really confused... I thought it was funny when I thought it was just a skit (not knowing it was cannon), I simply don't get it (the way it is now being done that is)
Davros in his half dalek machine was really sinister and you could see Davros got the idea from his machine . This version Davros is like a bad pantomime villian.
To me it just seems like political correction/correct (PC) gone mad, Have people really been complaining about the characters Davros being confined to wheel chair or Professor X from X men or similar other hero's or villains. Even with Davros using some of the Dr's regeneration energy to heal him self before the building that he was in got destroy I think then & somehow made an escape even then its still an even 50/50 if Davros got healed or still has enough healing power to fully heal all his injury's to not be confined to some form of life support wheel chair & the changes being made are just in effect white washing things the way I see it jsut to try & stay ahead of the curve in what is or isn't pc correct. Bit like now on all tv programmes & films you see on the TV you get whatever thing showing up on the screen or voice over saying there maybe violence, distressing scenes, blood etc in the film your about to see despite the film being rated 15 or 18. Have people truly lost any idea of reality and common sence that they really need thing dumbed & over explained before a programme like casualty or Film like saving private ryan starts?
