I'm with you on the plow point shelter. It's my favorite also, especially when it comes to inclement weather and the cold. I prefer a low profile plow point. One thing I did learn from this is use of a line between two trees to hold the tarp up, thus eliminating the need for a center/off center pole. Good stuff.
@JTDOutdoors

the plow point is justnao functional and simple its hard. ot to use lol

How does this compare to Kammock Puffin pillow? The Kammock really keeps my head from rolling due to its shorter baffles in the middle of the pillow.

@JTDOutdoors 17 дней назад
@MADHIKER777 I honestly couldn't tell you. I haven't seen the kammock puffin I'm gonna have to check it out. I just really like the soft outer fabric of this and it's a tpu bladder not the stiff plasticy feel of inflatables. super comfortable and soft.

Tarptent moment DW but slightly heavier and slightly more expensive. Innovative design but alot of dodgy marketing, like you need a hammock for it to work like a hammock. The weight is only for the tent nothing else. Etc etc
@JTDOutdoors

more expensive then a tarptent moment dw 🤣 not even close they run what 500$ ooo not to mention duties and customs on top of that to get one to my doorstep in canada etc etc.... 😉

I am getting 3.07 lbs on the PRO version when you add fly sheet, and footprint. If you leave that fly sheet behind, it looks like water could easily come in with you. I still don’t see how this works on slickrock. My freestanding tent weighs 2.7lbs. Let see a 1p version - then i might bite.
@BirmanGil
@BirmanGil 21 день назад
For what it’s worth, I have pitched my non-free standing tarptent in places that stakes don’t work by utilizing rocks or whatever else was around. I imagine a 3lb free-standing tent costs a lot more than the tent in this video? If not I’m curious which tent.
@JTDOutdoors
@JTDOutdoors 20 дней назад
full kots heavier yes. tents water proof and seem sealed without the fly sheet 5000mm no different then sleeping under a tarp youll stay dry

Hello!👋👋 I'm have been looking for a tent nearly for some camping next summer! My previous tent broke when camped at sky in northern Scotland where the strong wind just killed my tent overnight and it became a pool😂😂😂😢😢. Now I'm looking for a new tent and I have been looking around on the internet, then I accidentally saw a post about the wind archer a day ago and you really is the only guy that rewiw it on the whole internet 🤯. I really liked the tent for it's wind proof and water proof but the only thing that worries me is the air conditioning on a single wall tent. Is it good? And is it still good under cold conditions? If you reading this, thanks for reading such a messy text and you really makes great videos 🏆🏆. //Leo
