While I love the outdoors, I like to film (when possible) and put what I have learned out for others to see. While it can sometimes be a challenge trying to capture what I want, I try, and this is what I come up with. I welcome any questions and feedback you have you! If there is anything I touch on you want to know more about, send me an e-mail and I will get back to you! Tight Lines. Stay Dry. -Kyle
So how many muskies can I put in that well or stripers or catfish that boat seems to have very expensive items but the one thing it don't look expensive is the live well we need boats that help us put fish in the boats we need expensive live wells with them big motors
you mentioned that you are fishing for muskie. That's Relevant to the decision I'm trying to make. I'm going to be getting rid of my old bass boat. I love fishing out of a bass boat. I primarily fish for Northern and panfish. I fish up in Wisconsin on the Mississippi River. how to get rid of my bass boat and get a v some kind. I was looking at the Lund 1875s. now I found a pretty sweet deal on a Lund 2025. does anyone have any thoughts on fishing on a river, although it's a pretty big river, primarily fishing for Northern or panfish... and doing this with a 2025? I think what confuses me about the 2025, a lot of people talk about it being a big water boat. I live on lake Michigan so when I think of big water, that's what I think of. I'm probably never going to bring it out on one of the Great lakes. So is this too much for me and what I want to do where I want to do it?
Great Video. We just purchased a cottage in the Tomahawk area and want to get on Lake Alice summer and winter. We have never fished Walleye much and are looking for advice mainly winter. Where or what areas are you looking for when you set up for Walleye? Thanks for any help.
I got a pro 4 lite a rummage sale a while back for 220 with the power head cover and an 8 inch blade I only bought the auger for 2 reasons 1. I got a heck of. A steal and I bought the pro 4 lite as a back up to my pro 4
You should have a comparison on redrilling holes in 25 to30 inches of ice Not everyone drills a new hole every time They all work well drilling new holes not so redrilling
Maaan that is a nice rig!! Being a DIY I had been thinking an old hull in the 18-19 and fabricating it to however I want it to be consoled. Seeing this has me dreaming big lol.
These guys are tiny compared to what others are catching. It there a size limit as to how large you can take? Because these other guys on RU-vid are catching fish twice that size.
The jiffy uses chipper style blades. Which is main reason it was slower. That blade setup is much better for dirty ice and redrilling old holes. Other 2 use the shaver style which is fast but can dull VERY fast. I have wrecked my shaver blades on one whole that had some sand blown on it. Chippers won’t do that.
Great review! I had an old TML30 for years...40 years ago. Have had a Strikemaster Honda 4 stroke for the last 4 years and it has been great. The blades last so long and cuts fast. That being said...if I didn't have the quiet 4 stroke I would definitely get the StrikeMaster. I see it as the overall winner in this challenge.
my ion r-1 10" auger has let me down three times now. last time out the composite head holding the blabes fell off and sunk down the hole. i have tape holding the bolt that holds the shaft on, and i tape the battery on because the rubber band that holds it on is ineffective in sub zero temps. i lost a month of use do to long delivery times going back and forth to get parts. not a great experience
I used my Ice55 for the first time last weekend. The only thing I can't figure out is when I drop my bait, I can't see it on the screen unless I drop my bait in the same hole as the transducer. Is this normal?
I’ve ran the strikemaster 40v10” for 4 years now! Not a single problem with it. I will agree with you the second before it breaks through the ice it almost has a bind feel to it but I have learned that if you lift a little on it and it cuts perfectly with zero issues. I’m guessing those augers you tested possibly had used blades? When my Strikemaster was brand new I had a friend that had a brand new ion 8”. We tested them side by side several times. My 10” auger drilled faster than the 8” ion. Not trying to bash ion either but I have had 2 friends that had to send their ion back to get repaired because they literally quit working. I do find it funny how the new ions look so much more similar to the Strikemaster.
These sell for a crazy price now at Cabela's. How can this brand compete with the Garmin products is beyond me. The ice 55 sells well 700 Bucks and taking a look at some of Garmin products where you can use it on a boat as well as on the ice is versatile all you need is a different transducer for the job. Got to say it I do have a hummingbird flasher and I like it a lot, I cannot give up because it is still a great flasher to get your kids fishing with it or a friend.
Impacts are fishing machines. I had the 1875 for 3 years with the 9.9 kicker, decided I wanted to go back to a big tiller (midlife crisis?) for one season, big mistake, just sold it and picking up another Impact in 2 weeks
I have a 1775 adventure but I’m thinking of upgrading to this or the fisherman for the length and horsepower. I want my family to be more comfortable and I want to be able hey across the lake at faster speeds. That being said….how do you think the size upgrade has paid off for you?
