We all got our answer when Barry Hall fought in the ring vs Sonny Williams. Wasnt so tough with his opponent facing him and ready to fight. Kiss Canvas you coward. Loved it. This is where a team should loose min 2 ladder points for assaults like this. Why was he allowed to play the rest of the game. Same with Gaff - knocks out his teeth and goes on to kick a goal next quarter and help win the game whilst Dockers are a player down...
Jackson's disposals go down because Darcy's work rate compensates, 80% of Jackson's disposals when he's solo are in the ruck, if his score assists remain the same either way as stated then technically when Darcy is playing, per possession his scoring efficiency INCREASES, and it also enables another tall target that has to be locked down meaning TREACY and AMISS score more when Darcy and Jackson play together.
Did they not listen to jacksons interview when ge signed? The attractive pitch by Fremantle was that jackson wouldnt be locked to a ruck role. He could play forward, midfield, or ruck. Which appealed to him. He wants to test himself and see how good he can be.
I swear these blokes never watch a full Fremantle game and just pick and choose which metrics align with their ideas. Sean Darcy is a premium ruckman and when he and Luke Jackson play together the team as a whole are stronger. Jackson is able to rotate as a big bodied midfielder as well as spend time in the forward half allowing Josh Treacy and Jye Amiss more opportunities as he attracts the best or second best defender from the opposition. Plus they have barely had a decent run of games together to truly know where the statistics truly sit. Boring commentary without substance.
I guess colingwoods games over the two years don't exist? Carlton had a handful of good games last year and made a prelim well done but have been bat shit boring for the last 10 years
as a Freo fan I understand where the 'boring' tag is coming from.....Freo definitely regressed last year with a style that was too defensive and "chippy chippy". But towards the end of the year they rectified it by moving Young in the middle and started scoring more heavily, albeit against some weaker teams such as West Coast, Hawthorn....they were way more watchable even though their season was done and dusted, and it's this 'paradigm shift' that need to continue and elevate in 2024 if they're to prove their detractors wrong. But it wouldn't matter anyway, the Vic media has always HATED Freo and doesn't really care for them to be in the competition. it's just facts, the bias has always been there, which is why the Ross move in 2011 was so funny, because they really didn't like that.....one iota. Justin is a bit cardboard and I have reservations he's a strong enough, impassioned enough and tactically astute enough coach to get the team really rolling, but I need more evidence of which was the anomaly. 2022, where Freo were having their tyres pumped up a bit more by Gary Lyons et al on the Couch and no one was really complaining not even "Mr. Excitement Machine" Kane 'Foot' Cornes above - or turgid 2023 Freo that got these goons and the likes of Barrett labelling them boring (and probably justifiably). 2024 will bring us some answers, so we'll have to wait and see. But f*** yuse Kornes and the other guy who's so relevant I don't even know who he is, haha! ;)
Built in the 1860's why don't the greens knock that joint down it wouldn't be up to energy efficient standards and insulation oh thats right they only attack government housing tenants....
