I was in the 5th row to the right. My son brought an LP cover hoping to get it signed. A stagehand hooked him up. Eric and Buck waved to him when he held it up to show them.
Ah, good old Jim Neary, the biggest yes man manager UTI ever had ... completely spineless and couldn't manage his way out of a wet paper bag ... total loser, management loved him, they said JUMP, Jim said How High?
I’ve seen them Live 48 times so far. Would have been 50 if not for the Damnedemic. I took my Girlfriend to see them at Cincinnati Gardens in I think ‘74. They opened for REO and Rod Stewart worth Faces. Every Picture tells a Story Tour. The BOC only got 45 minutes. They had only two records at the time. The ROCKED. Shockingly good. When the House Lights came on, (No Encore) there was a LOT of booing. REO came out and pretty much bombed. Maybe because they were being booed. And people were throwing stuff onstage. Rod came out and pranced around a lot. Great Band, but Rod? Meh. I told my girlfriend (RIP) “I’m gonna see these guys every chance I get”. And I pretty much have. We’ve never lived near a big city, so I’d see them in Dayton, or Fresno usually. My buddy lived in San Francisco for years so we drove the 4.5 hour drive up there to see them. But SF has become so third world, we stopped going there about ten yers ago. GREAT BAND. Far too good for the RRHOF. After all, they were the VERY first Band to tour Live with Lasers onstage. ………..Cheers.
