Hi guys, I'm NOG... I play lots of different games, mostly builders and strategy games, but other stuff will sneak it's way on here from time to time.
As the channel name indicates, I am no spring chicken, but I still love gaming. I especially love games where my wits are tested, and I am challenged by the complexity of the gameplay, rather than the complexity of the controls.
I play games like Factorio, Factory Town, Total War: Warhammer, Kerbal Space Program, Surviving Mars, Hearts of Iron IV, Transport Fever, Civilization and many other games. Some of these games may not be on the channel at the moment, but they probably will be some day.
I've been a gamer since the 80's... yeah, as I said, no spring chicken... but I still find it incredibly enjoyable!

It's a reward for holding a specific system at a specific time. So there was an event that said that which ever faction that held the system Dunklewälderdunklerflüssenschattenwelt (I know, who came up with that name? 🤣) when the event ended, the members would get an RTO loot box, and in this case, it was Outworld Alliance, which I am part of, that held it.
Ive found the Proteus makes a great command and mortar boat. Mortar 48 works quite well. May drop to 40 just cause its easier math for ammo. Granted the mortars are clan.
I'm hanging with you because I really like your presentation style. However, neither of these game interest me much. Have you made any plans as to what comes next?
Honestly you need to scale back if you are going to start working vehicles into your teams. It takes a bit to get used to their strengths and weaknesses and to find out if it's even a viable platform for your style of play.
If your main foe is going to be either of the phone companies, you are going to have to reconfigure your entire team with heavier ammo and more AMS systems on individual mechs that focuses on themselves. You have some salvage instock to start rebuilding mechs with Clan tech. The weight and crit space savings will give a little better chance for improvements. The best option is setting support lances to max at 1 if you are going to primarily fight the phone companies. Now if you really want to up things adjust the settings for 'Kill Teams' instead.
You should be fielding a bunch of cheap vehicles just for building up pilot experience. You don't need to improve their skills till you get a game changer vehicle.
@NerdyOldGamer don't bother with the SRM Carrier, AI will kill it as soon as it can. Look for anything with LRMs or even Arrow4. LRM Carriers, JES III, anything with 1 or more LRM launchers. Even Striker mk2 are great to field as they are cheap and easy to buy.
Best rule of thumb when deciding on mech salvage is ask yourself how much "unique or rare" gear does it currently use and can you get or have onhand to replace. If either of those is no, then past for something more realistic and basic to start with. That Serkat made for a viable platform to start from. Almost all superheavy mechs will be built from pieces and rarely will you get a usable whole platform outside of finding a Omni.
@NerdyOldGamer vehicles typically add very little to skull/shield rating. Also if you want to do stuff like flare ups, you will want the extra. 3 days between missions is not a lot and your repair times are horrible. If you are happy just doing the 1 and done, than keep at it. Neglecting vehicles till it's too late and you really need them, means halting progression to level up pilots to be useful. It's cheap to field basic vehicles just to bank a large sum of experience till you find those "I got to have vehicles".
Getting just 1 superheavy ready to field can be a 8 to 20 million cbills investment. You would be better served trying to field a couple superheavy before getting that final upgrade.
You are not even ready for regular superheavy missions, so don't worry about the top tier superheavy missions upgrade. That money is best used towards adding pilots and units to your rooster. My last upgrade was 15 million cause I have stocked up on pilots that reduce Argo costs and add Mechtech points.

You need to find planets that offer up different factions to fight. You seem to just be fighting government forces or a very limited pool. A border world that has either Clans or DCMS, even pirates offer up a lot of chances at RISC tech. You should also consider fielding more vehicles and vtols. They offer great firepower for minimal investment towards your rating. Not sure how many pilots you are fielding but your repair times are atrocious. Getting more pilots with Mechtech traits would help lower your times.
I’m moving towards Clan Ghost Bear adjacent systems to get clan gear at the moment… I have 14 pilots at the moment, looking for mech tech and neural implant pilots at the moment.
