I think I may have missed it or it wasn't mentioned but don't forget to turn off Auto Select Nearest camera when you want to continue working on the Airport Cameras. Otherwise, X-Camera will always force you to use the nearest camera which may not necessarily be the camera you're working on.
Is it still working with latest update of FS2020 ? So...is it possible to like, get the correct channels tuned when you change the frequency on the radio, or do I have to change in the app? (woudl it be possible to have this down automatically?) All best, seems like a great app!! =D
Hi - really enjoy your product ! Do you already or are you planning to enable some Military chatter - thinking for example of the Red Flag Exercises at Nellis AIr Force Base?
Hello, Thank You for this Video...I followed to the "T" But plane now won't load all the way unless I pull out XPUIC plugin and leave it on the desktop. Same Computer for Plane... Do I need to change IP to 127.0.0.1 Thx
Assuming you just added the clips to Pilot2ATC then the issue must be with XPUIPC. There are several implementations of XPUIPC floating around. I suggest you contact the developer pf Pilot2ATC to see which one he recommends. You can reach him on his forum here: www.avsim.com/forums/forum/713-pilot2atc-users-forum/ Mark
No, X-ATC-Chatter has a built-in clip player for X-Plane. If you plan to use it with Pilot2ATC you would not install that built-in player as Pilot2ATC plays the clips as part of its capabilities. See the Pilot2ATC tutorial video here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-yo0mSZ54Jzc.html Mark
Good video, however, since most will likely watch this while trying the free version, you should consider making a sample file that only has the maximum 8 key definitions. As is, following this tutorial, once you get to the part about loading the sample file, it fails as it has more than 8 key definitions.
Good Morning Is there a way to program the stream desk + to have 2 Inverters switches and 2 fuel switches and will display on or off with deferent back ground to match each command. example (king Air)

Can the X - Camera Mod project different views on different screens plugged into the same pc? I have a touchscreen tv I use as a overhead panel, I can use x plane settings to rotate the view but cannot move the view separate from the other monitors. please let me know, thanks.
X-Plane cannot project two views at the same time. Some aircraft have panels that can be popped out and put on separate monitors, like the G530 and G1000 panels.
There are a number of clips from KATL but keep in mind that FS-ATC-Chatter does not play just those clips when you are at KATL. It plays anything from the U.S. region. Take a look at the FAQ: stickandrudderstudios.com/fs-atc-chatter-faq/
Hello Mark. I tried to respond to your inquiry regarding my request on how to configure momentary key presses using the Stream Deck+ and XL, but my replies continue to disappear. You asked if I was using the command mode in continuous or single mode. I am not using commands since Felis does not provide them for the keys I want to configure. I am using Datarefs and I can't figure out how to program X-Keypad to press momentarily on certain keys. I can send you my configure file if you wish. I've watched most of your tutorials and can't seem to find the answer. Thanks for your help, it is greatly appreciated.
If you don't have commands then we will have to use an expressive command. They can be a bit complex particularly when you want them to work as momentary. Contact me on our Discord server and we can set up a time to talk and I'll walk you through it. discord.gg/KBDYEMUAsz Mark
Hello. Can you please point me int the right direction on how to set up a momentary key press. I am working on a configuration file for the Felis 474-200 and I can't figure out how to set up momentary key presses. For example, on the INS mode Select button, the mouse presses the key and when you release the mouse the key comes back up. But when I program a Stream Deck XL key with X-keypad, the key stays depress.
I am mostly using Datarefs as the Felis 747-200 does not have command refs for the keys I am programing. I would be happy to send you my config file it that would help. I've been able to successfully configure a large number of keys and encoders and really having fun doing it. There was a learning curve for me, but I've gotten the hang of it and now I'm enjoying it. Is there a setting I need to use when using Datarefs to simulate momentary key presses? Your input and advice are greatly appreciated. Thanks. @@stickandrudderstudios3217

They are only needed to customize behavior for some aircraft. The LUA files have comments in them that outline their purpose. I would not install them unless you have a specific aircraft that needs to be handled. Mark
Mark. This may be a conflict with the two running together. Have you heard of Tobii Eye Tracker. A little pricey but I see a lot of people using. I would think it will not be compatible with X-Camera
Hello and Happy Holidays! Just a quick question. I understand how to bind the Stream Deck devices from the appended definition file, but how do I create the actual JSON file? Can you possibly point me to a tutorial video, or written manual, which can explain the creation of a definition file, i.e., the JSON files. Thank you so much.
You should not really try to edit the JSON file directly, they are quite complex and it is very easy to mess up the structure. You should use the Stream Deck configuration editor to create/adjust a stream deck configuration. You get to the editor using the X-Plane plugin/X-KeyPad menu.
Editing a JSON files was not exactly what I was asking about, but after watching your X-keypad 1.5.1 video, I believe I can start creating a new configuration file from scratch. I guess I was asking on how exactly do you use the X-keypad editor. Thank you so much for you quick response. @@stickandrudderstudios3217
Mark, Totally unbelievable. I was looking in purchasing another plane. Beechcraft C350. And wondering if there was another version in the Laminar Hanger. No. But then there was the C90B. I was curious, so I wanted to view an import from other users. I came across one (JIMMYXP12) with over 200 camera views. Some Categories he had was Airport 1, 2 & 3 he made which pans 3 different airport views at different speeds, angles & directions. Its great. How did he do it? I suspect he used an External camera created. If you get an opportunity, is there tutorial you can create.
there is no toggle taxi_light_toggle for toliss a321 or default A330-300 in xplane12. pls put more tutorial for commercial airlines so that my purchase worth it
Can you post your question here: forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/forums/forum/435-x-keypad/ I don't own the toliss, but others on the org forum do. I'm sure we can find the answer. Mark @@edlevingt
How to press down alt knob for the function "managed altitude", as well as speed for "managed speed". I can't find any command to press down the knob, but I only found how to pull up the knob command only. Thanks in advance.
Mark Been doing some settings of cameras with a degree of success. But came upon a stump. I have XP11 and XP12 with version of X-Camera 2.4.3. In advance screen on XP12 I have Forced FOV to change if I want (a single monitor) but I run XP11 there is no Forced FOV option. Am I missing something.
@@cwood7240 Yes, I was going to mention that you need to make sure the over all option is enabled in X-Camera settings and then you can enable / disable on each camera.
I believe that one of the best feature of X-Camera is changing the force to FOV of panels. Despite what panel to fly with. The default Xplane I don't think you can not do that for individual aircraft. Is there list of different Lua plugins to use in X-Camera that are made for different options. I know there is for External Camera there is WingMan and Scenic Flyer. Any otherers to suggest and where to get them. I have wingman and scenic flyer lua plugins. I'm not that experienced to write my own LUA scripts.
Hey Mark- As you tell with my questions, I have been away from X-Camera for a while. I had it disabled for a while. Why? I don't know. I reenabled and glad I did. Great plugin. So many features and views that are available. Now, On Airport File, Create Airport File, I noticed in you airport, KLEB, you have 4 airports in your vicinity as shown. Can I show more airports. In other words, Can I increase the range to show more? 3 miles from my airport to say 25 to 30 miles within a perimeter? And if I make a camera free standing and it probably wouldn't make sense but can I put on a moving target like a bus a car or a train?
The reason it shows you the few close by airports is that X-Camera can not tell exactly what airport you are at. A good example of this is you may be trying to create cameras for a large airport but your plane is parked closer to a heliport at the airport than the airport center. I needed to allow you to pick what you meant. This issue only crops up when you have heliports or other facilities co-located with a very large airport. If you want to create an airport file for an airport 30 miles away just load your plane at that airport. If you are trying to do something else let me know. Mark
I don't know if you discussed this . The BackUp option. I think I would have my own method to save Cameras. But when you choose BackUp, where are the files saved?
Mark, I have XP11 & XP12. There is a particular aircraft Mooney M20R Ovation. Made only for XP11. I have copied that plane to XP12. I had to make changes in Plane Maker to get the engine to start and raise the landing gear. Now I have a working Mooney in XP12. Setting all the cameras in the XP11 Mooney, is there a file in XP11 that I can copy to XP12 so XCamera recognizes the same as XP11? I'm wondering if any others that have done the same and they have put in Community folder for the benefit of XP12. Undoubtedly, my favorite GA and no developer to date has a dedicated Mooney for an XP12. The ones available were made forXP10 / XP11 and may have to be modified to work in XP12.
The camera files are located in the aircraft-specific X-Plane/Aircraft folder. The have a .CSV extension and have X-Camera as part of the file name. Just copy that over to the same folder in X-Plane 12
After seeing this video I immediately purchased the streamdeck+ for my cockpit setup. Major disillusionment, 'No Device Found' Tried on five different PCs and laptops, directly into the USB without a hub or extension cable. I tried all the tips and tricks I could find on Google. I sent a 'ticket' to Streamdeck helpdesk, no response. If you google the problem you will see that many people encounter the same thing. Yet you will not find a solution on the Streamdeck website! What are your experiences?
@@GuidoNaessens Can you just get a free replacement from the store you purchased it at? There must be something wrong with that unit if it does not even show up using the Stream Deck software. I have a Stream Deck + and a Stream Deck XL and they both work across three different Windows 10 systems and Mac Studios.
Hi guys giving this a try really like it but my problem is that for all my aircraft it works except on the default a320 and the FBW a320 says my com1 is off but it is not. All power is on coms are up and running but it says com1 not power chatter paused. Any help woud be apprreciated. thanks
Some of the aircraft in MSFS 2020 are not properly maintaining the radio power offsets in Sim Connect. For these aircraft, you need to disable the “Only play Chatter when my radios are powered” option on the FS-ATC-Chatter radio settings tab.
I know this comment is 5 months old, but in case anybody else sees it; You can! You can use something like MSFS AddonLinker and use that to auto run whatever programs you would like to start on launch. I have it run this, Navigraph, Volanta, etc... all with one press of the start button.
Are you referring to X-Plane12's ATC text-to-speech or X-ATC-Chatter clips? The reason I ask is that X-ATC-Chatter behaves the same in X-Plane 11 as well as 12 so I'm confused by your reference to X-Plane 12. Mark
Hi Mark, I have watched with great interest some of your tutorial regarding the NavDataReader. I have two questions, I work with Windos 11 Pro, is it compatible with it, and the second question is, does NavDataReader use the data from Navigraph or from FS2020. Thank you very much for your answer and sorry in advance if there is a stupid question. I wrote this post using Google Translate.
First, you should try FS-ATC-Chatter with MSFS 2020 ATC first. The default FS-ATC-Chatter COM database should match MSFS fairly closely. If you do find that MSFS 2020 is telling you to tune to frequencies that result in FS-ATC-Chatter reporting out of range then it might make sense to run the navadata reader tool to rebuild the COM database from the MSFS scenery. The navdata reader tool should run fine on windows 11 pro although I have not verified this personally. To the best of my knowledge, Navigraph does not supply any of the ATC radio frequencies. These come entirely from the scenery files in the simulator. Mark
Do you think they will ever provide a software only version of the Stream Deck? Its a bit like the 'virtual window' you can create on XKeyPad, which I put on my second monitor and really like it. Also how do you convert between the two, that is X-KeyPad to StreamDeck and vice versa?
OK that's good but I don’t want it on a mobile device, I want it on my computer monitor as I use normaly with XPlane where I can use that code from there to manipulate the 3D cockpit with my mouse. It’s the same as I already do with XKEYPAD with its virtual display. In esssence I am only interested in Software.
@@jamespimenta4257 I'm not sure what Elgato's plans are for something like that. I would be curious to know if this is for other things besides use with X-Plane as I would think that the X-KeyPad virtual devices cover a lot of those needs.
I must agree with John G*. This tutorial is by far, if not the best, one of the very best description of any addon I have run across. Sign me up, look forward to this one. Got it last night, a whole new dimension to FS/ Many thanks for a great piece of software.,
