My sympathy is with the Jews and I am for existence of Israel as a Jewish nation. But, is it not true that the original inhabitants of the land were the Cannanites who possibly initially converted to Orthodox Christianity during Byzantine rule and later converted to Islam during the Arab conquest. I don't think the Cannanites were completely eliminated by the conquering army of the Israelites and rather were defeated and many continue to live there just like the Jews continue to live after defeats by Assyrians, Babylonians, Romans etc.

The ultimate sacrifice has been given more then 2000 years ago. No need for a temple anymore. Never forget that the temple was built to make sacrifices to God in order to forgive our sins. I wonder if they will keep making living sacrifices in their new temple the way they used to do.
I think that it was so sad to read that Johnathan was killed in battle alongside Saul. David and Johnathan were the closest of friends and it would have seemed better that Saul would have been slain in battle without his son Johnathan. Imagine what it would have been like for King David to have Johnathan by his side during his reign.
