@@danflorea2815 ProtaSteel is part of the ProtaStructure suite of software, which is sold by Prota, a different company than Proya. However, ProtaSteel is entirely powered by the COMOSYS engine. Proya has a partnership with Prota, and they supply them with the ProtaSteel product to become part of their suite. ProtaSteel in "Protastructures" is a smaller subset version of COMOSYS “full steel package”. COMOSYS' full steel package has the following differences from ProtaStructure. 1. Full ability to enter elements anywhere 2. Advanced modeling with solid primitives 3. Arbitrary Shape support 4. Direct IFC support 5. Intelliconnect Plus Technology 6. IntelliClone Technology 7. AutoAdjust Technology 8. Advanced Customization Features - User Defined Attributes - User Defined Annotations (for profiles, plates, bolts, formworks, rebars, as well as other solid objects) - User defined symbols that can be used in drawings. 9. Advanced Manual Macro options 10. On the fly macro filtering 11. Many more connections and components 12. Special PEB components 13. Multi User capabilities 14. .NET based API to develop your own custom components 15. Integration with Grasshopper 16. Advanced Table support on Drawing side 17. On the fly filter on drawing side 18. Automatic Revision cloud feature 19. Ability to keep manual changes on drawing update 20. Imperial units 21. Curved beam Assembly drawing 22. Cladding assembly drawings 23. Tank Assembly drawings 24. Unfolded plate drawings 25. SNIP READY Templates for Steel 26. Custom Template (Custom Tables) Editor 27. Drawing Cloning (YTBI) 28. Advanced Copy/Move commands 29. Onscreen Editing handles “Super handles” “IntelliStick” Furthermore the “Full” COMOSYS suite has “concrete and rebar” Modelling capabilities which ProtaSteel in Protastructure does not have. These modeling capabilities are very advanced and general purpose. And in addition to all this COMOSYS has its own analysis and design engine which is coupled with the modeling. It has very powerful mesh generation features etc.
This is the first time I'm watching this software and I really enjoyed it. Some of these features are not even available in Revit! Keep up the great work. In 41:05, I saw some concrete elements which had overlapping areas. My question is that whether the concrete volume is calculated correctly in the bill of quantities or not? Thank you.
@@Farzan__Bayat Thank you so much. Answering your question, Concrete quantities are measured and calculated based on area, rather than individual elements like beams and columns. Reports are also generated in this manner. Even when converting the 3D model to 2D, it displays monolithic elements. Please feel free to write to info@ramcadds.in , if you need any other clarifications.
i have a diploma in civil engineering . i dont have any kind of past experience in light gauge steel frame structure designing or any skill related to that. if i learn STRAP + Vertex BD course will i able to do lgsf deigning and gain experience
Please note that this tutorial video lacks representation of circular rebar. To access guidance on circumferential rebar, kindly watch the tutorial via this link: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6Fubk7IMTlA.htmlsi=LTQx8ED2KgQ1Sfzi. Additionally, when working with the 3D model, there's an option to zero the view accordingly. It appears that the view you imported into 2D may be left rotated due to its position in the 3D model. To rectify this, zero the specific view in the 3D model by locating the option at the bottom(0 degree) just above the selection tools, and then attempt importing it into 2D again.
@@leo198995 please send your Comosys model to our mail ID - info@ramcadds.in We will model the circular rebar and check generating 2D drawings. Once we get a clear picture of your question regarding the confusion of 2D drawings of circular stirrups, we will screen record and share the solution with you through the Google Drive link.
We use pea gravel, grouting material and cement mortar for backfilling. But this video doesnot cover about pea gravel and cement mortar. Where can I get such video.
do you use flying braces for avoid lateral torsional buckling of beams ? if then, my question is , does it cause to make purlins behave like continous beam instead of simple beam ?
COMOSYS has been in existence for more than a decade now. It has been supplying OEM platforms to other software companies till recently when it decided to go mainstream. It has similar interface to Tekla but has automation features that nobody in the industry offers.
Can make analysis and design for 2 building of the span 60m x height side 4m x length 210m without columns in middle, and other : span 60m x height side 12m x length 210m x 6 floor without columns in middle
It looks great. Can Comosys show only the bottom or only the top reinforcement of the slab and can it make separate drawings for the bottom and top reinforcement? Since the columns and walls have been analyzed and reinforced already, is it possible to give the reinforcements of the columns and walls by levels and not for their entire height? In Comosys, is it possible to make a quantity table of only selected elements, for example only one column or only one beam?
Thanks for watching the video. Yes we can generate the reinforcements of all elements according to their respective levels and not for the entire height. It is easy to import the "views" we have created in a 3D model into a 2D drawing and give automatic dimensions, annotations accordingly as per the individual levels of height. Regarding your query on quantity table of only selected element, yes it is possible in comosys. We can generate automatic Reinforcement drawings for individual elements like one column or one beam. All type of required sections and views have been created automatically with dimensions, annotations and also with the quantity table whereas no manual intervention is needed Also we can show only the bottom or either the top reinforcement of the slab through editing the filter options in view property dialogue box. We can create and customize all type of drawings which Comosys has all flexible editing options to meet our requirements.
This is a simple building, so modelling is very easy, but if I have a large-scale project and all span centres line different, then how to do modelling easily I think need some manual center line option in software for easy work and placement of any member should be done easily any area and location because for placement we can not put member without center line, point and construction line.
This is nice software, and we request that you please upload videos on RCC works also. Need more clarity for foundation, columns, shearwall, beams, slab staircase macro. We want to understand how to modify in reinforcement by macro.
Dear, how do we show the failure mechanism in plaxis 2D and 3D 20v for jointed rock slope stability analysis? please i need the response with youtube link or video. Thank U
Please make video on preset of RCC shear wall, columns, Beams with strangle bars lapping. And please make video on RCC Raft with main bars bottom, top and bottom extra, top extra as per rendom area.
Hello 1) What about the calculation of reinforcement for structures according to the analytical model? 2) Why did the cross-reinforcement corners of beams and columns overlap with each other? 3) Is it possible to define soil data underneath the foundations? 4) Is it possible to calculate the foundations according to Eurocode 7? 5) Is it possible to calculate reinforced concrete structures according to Eurocode 2?
