The best way to avoid them is to stay off the roads altogether. If i didn't need a car for my work i wouldn't bother my ass forking out money that I'd need for far more important things. It costs you an arm and a leg to drive on the UKs miserable roads and it's just not worth the headache and the repair bill.
I beat one of these in my stock 2023 golf r but the guy I defeated still drove home in a Ferrari tubi exhaust. I want a 355 and I think these things are about to explode is price
My experience with Porsche dealerships over the last 14 years. Nottingham - Sold me my "approved" 911 with water in the rear lights, a faulty alarm, knackered steering strut bearings and fake wheels. Tewkesbury - charged me £4500 for work on the coolant system and gave it back to me heavily air locked, sent coolant down to me that was heavily contaminated (leaves, dirt) then acted like I was causing them an issue. Portsmouth - quoted me 9k for 2ks worth of work by tripling up the duplication of labour charges, e.g. effort to take the back bumper off and put it back on was on the same job invoice 3 times. Swindon - actually great, never had an issue, polite, would use again. Fixed all my problems on the 911 when purchased and sold me a Cayman S.
Petrolhead dismisses EVs what a surprise...your reasoning is flawed as the carbon footprint over time is considerably less and no pollutants either so they beat ice and demolish diesel. You say they wont save the planet so why bother.Fallacious argument. Its the sum of each measure man takes to reduce fossil fuel emissions that count.A single measure alone won't seem like much but the effect of multiple measures in combination is what matters.A lot of the comments seem to come from other petrolheads seeking affirmation that EVs are a waste of time. They're not.I think a lot of comments opposing your flawed arguments probably get deleted. They're expensive and do have a carbon footprint but taken over a ten year ownership period, its much less and zero pollutants. Not perfect but much better than ice.
Your big 22 inch low profile tyres will add a lot of road noise. As for driving, flick it into sport and it changes big time. Less roll and more feel to the steering. I love my 4.4tdv8. Once driven, nothing else compares really😎😎
I recently purchased a 2020 Aston Martin Vantage, depreciation was a big help. When I compared prices to a 911 S, I could have a 2020 Vantage or a much older, far less interesting 911. The AMG engine was actually a selling point for me as I feel more comfortable having a MB engine over an Aston.
Cars are like shoes…no single pair can cover all bases well enough without significant compromise. Hence why car appreciating people need two or three cars.
strange how health and safety stick their noses into things yet fail to be involved in castigating the so obvious dangers posed to all road users, including pedestrians crossing the roads, by the state of the roads - meanwhile cyclists ,both manual and electric, are allowed to go along the pavements doing injury to pedestrians......
EV or Gas, What Pollutes More? ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1oVrIHcdxjA.html ; Remember, Diesel or Petrol don't come out of the pump at the petrol station. They have to be pumped out of the ground, transported, refined, and, and, and... And they're not made out of fairies farts either.
Oh no. Not that video again. I don't know how many times that out-of-date video has been put into the comments. Yes, you are right. They have to be pumped out of the ground, transported, refined, and, and, and... and they need a hell of a lot of it to produce electric cars.
I recently found out why all US trucks are cars are getting bigger is because they want a engine more efficient but they need to make the car or truck larger because of a requirement for engine size to wheelbase but now since you have a larger vehicle you need a bigger engine that's why trucks and cars in other countries can be smaller because with our regulations that small truck will need to have a engine with 45 or more to fit the miles per gallon requirement but that would mean a engine to small to full fill the role of a pickup truck.
The only problem I have with his video is that China is faking their green energy numbers in one way or another or the product wont last long enough to be viable and the other is they just make so many bad thing that nothing happens to them making the energy spent useless
I have been driving for 60 yrs and have had some performance cars, but never a Porsche.I am now in a financial position whereby I could buy a Porsche,or a Lambo, or a Ferarri , but I won`t.The reason is simple. The pleasure obtained for the money spent is nowhere near good enough. Some of my cars that have been the greatest pleasure to own, have not been the most expensive.
