Get up your right hand more, so you can better handle the beaver tail of the gun and decrease the recoil and time to get back to target and have a clear sight on it.
I've had my Ruger American pistol for 8 years. I've put over 4,000 rds through it with zero malfunctions. I carried it concealed as my EDC years ago and it's chunky but you get used to it. I'm a Glock guy and carry a Glock now, but I still own my Ruger American and it's still the most accurate and most ergonomic pistol I've ever fired. They're underrated in my opinion.
@@regulardude1761 yes sir they are very underrated and didn’t sell too hot. But same here have more Glocks than anything and was carrying a g21 or a g43x for awhile but now switched to the ruger for awhile and man im loving it. That video was my first time shooting any ruger handgun besides a lc9 which I hate
@@BikesNBullets lol that's what I'm carrying concealed everyday now, a Glock 21SF. It's a big boy too, I have a Taran Tactical +4 mag extension on it and now looking back at carrying the Ruger American, it wasn't bad compared to a Glock 21. 😂
@@regulardude1761 yeah man I love my g21 it’s a big boy like you said but loveeeeeee how it shoots. Mine is a Gen 2 so she’s had alotttttttt of rounds through it 😂
@@BikesNBullets that's cool it being a gen 2, I have a gen 2 Glock 19 that's fairly low round count but a lot of holster wear from being carried for a couple decades lol. I still think the best triggers Glock has, besides maybe gen 5, is the gen 2 triggers. Love that trigger
@@regulardude1761 yeah I love the Gen 2 triggers but my Glock 43x Gen 5 I can’t beat it the trigger on it is amazing. But yes I agree Gen 2 and Gen 5 have best triggers and are prob my favorite gens of Glocks period
Does it fit the mos cut slide without an adapter plate and or filing down the mos lugs? Should have watched longer. You answered- no adapter or lug modifications required. Thanks
Yeah 14 hours till sleep was dumb; essentially it will never turn off. Dumb dumb dumb. That won't help its already short battery life (compared to all other on the market). Hopefully Vortex won't wait too long before gen2.
@@toddparsons2980 no idea. I ordered it from Amazon on Feb 20th. was their vortex store but shipped from Optics planet. did not know I was getting updated til it arrived!
@@Dressed2KillTaye yes sir the 43x is a little beast man and I run the psa mags now and Havnt had any issues around 600 rounds through them definitely a upgrade and cheap
I just got the same setup, Im having a hard time sighting the vortex defender in and Just shooting straight, but im coming from a glock 19, this 43x is way snappier
Not reliable I put 500 rds thru the one I bought and couldn’t get thru a mag without it malfunctioning 250 FMJ and 250 hollows I sent it back and it took forever to get my refund
@@eddierivera2908 , i have gen 2 shield. Sent them back after initial issues, they returned them after a spring change and loading 5 rounds into a 15 round mag and claiming them good. They have been collecting dust since then. Trust the PSA mags have 6, zero issues with any of them, after ~750 rounds
Nice video bro. I would say be very careful with showing your gun to where your serial# can come into view. I heard one RU-vidr said he had issue because of that with a gun he no longer owned but someone I guess saw his serial number on a particular gun and tried to say he stole it but he quickly proved that wrong. But just to let you know so you can avoid any possible BS
appreciate it brother i actually just ordered 2 more myself. And yeah i gotta work on my videos have alot more guns/accessories to review and alot more footage at the range.
