Garbage. Seen that 1000 times on YT. And unless you coat the lenses with a UV protectant clear-coat, that polish job may last a few months or so. Total garbage.
Well thanks for watching my video anyway 😆 I'm not so sure you're right though? I've restored many headlights over the years, having carried this out professional since 2018. This was the method i used for best results! I also just lacquered it at the end without any polish, Seems to have helped cure it a little better than the polish
Nice one. I'm not a fan of lacquer for a few reasons, so I apply a hi tech UV sealant and give a 2 year guarantee, but sure...each to their own. Thanks for your comment 👍🏼👍🏼

Nice result but using a drill to polish with is amateur hour. Get a polisher so you have accurate speed control and better control over the position of the machine.

In fact I would say that I'm so adept and professional it allows me to achieve the superb finishes I do without the need for any other type of machine🤷🏻♂️ One day, I might choose to buy something like a PXE80 and make my life easier but all the time I'm still getting great results for my clients I'm fine with what I have. @@Number1HeadlightRestoration its ok you dont appreciate being called an amateur but when your using the wrong tool for the job it makes people who work in the trade say hmmm. If i were to see someone using molegrips to hold a hydraulic ram shaft - amateur hour. If i were to see someone impact gunning on a locking wheel nut - amateur hour. Go buy a cheapo 50 quid polisher and leave the drill for drilling.
@givman2004 I get what you're saying and appreciate they way you've re-addressed it👍🏼 But I have a tool, and use it to good effect and have done for years so I guess I'm just sticking with it. Don't get e wrong though I do like the idea of a polisher like the PXE80 as they are incredibly more versatile and flexible than my drill, but it works so I just keep using it 🤷🏻♂️ Anyway, genuinely...thank you again for your interaction I really appreciate it 👍🏼👍🏼

Work smarter not harder!! Buy a 3m restoration kit and have the same results in the Quarter of the time!! Add a certified clearcoat like Maguires clearcoat with added UV protection to make headlights as new!!🤔🇬🇧👍
Hi Keith. Thanks for your comment, and watching my video 👍🏼 I hear what you're saying and there is some validity in your comment, but an off the shelf kit will never achieve the results I do. I've had MANY customers over the years who have used a kit on their headlights, then they've come to me and asked for an assessment of the their headlights, as they're convinced they must have problems inside because they're still not super clear. Once I've completed my work, they are staggered at the difference and can't believe they weren't hazy on the inside after all 🤭 As for clear coating. I've had to restore many headlights over the years that are in terrible shape when clear coat has broken down after a couple of years. Dealing with that is tough going and something a kit certainly wouldn't be able to do, to a high enough standard. The vast majority of my jobs are completed outside and in all types of weather, so even if I liked clear coating this doesn't lend itself to my working environment. I offer my customers a 2 year guarantee on my work and even when they do fade again, they are very easily detailed back to good as new. Thanks very much for your interaction. All the best! Mark 👍🏼👍🏼
@@Number1HeadlightRestoration I beg to differ!! 3m restoration kit is by far the best restoration kit available on the market today, And I'll try to explain my reasons first the grit sizes are perfect for removing old flacking clearcoat including 2k clearcoat which by the way should never be applied to polycarbonate lenses, Secondly all my expert advice comes from a full time professional,It just so happens he uses the same Grit sizes as the kit p500 + p800 dry sanding and lastly a trizact p3000 with water, All the above method are used with a cordless drill with variable speed controls and a 3inch sanding base plate with velcro hooks, No elbow grease required just finesse (light pressure only) Headlight polishing is essential to add clarity and seal the lens before applying a certified clearcoat like Maguires which as added UV protection to hold back oxidation from the harmful rays from the Sun!! Furthermore restoration is all about After care, but that's another story!!! There's plenty of streams on utube showing the benefits of the 3m restoration kits for wet and dry sanding!!! If there instructions are followed to the letter!!🤔👍
