It looks decent but like you said it doesn’t look like it will last long. The roots are poofy. I did it twice on my natural hair and the first time was the best, the second time wasn’t good and I was going to a funeral so that was disappointing that it wasn’t my best. I used lotta body mousse and it had time to fully dry and was shiny and smooth. Almost close to looking relaxed 🤯 I wrapped firmly but the second time it was a bit damp and my hair just expanding and didn’t look good 😢 Most like it was some percentage of moisture present in your hair. Even a small percentage can ruin the set.
Despite us knowing better in the natural community, many still don’t like natural hair texture and especially the older generation 💯 The most bad remarks come from people’s grandparents and parents depending on how old they are. Some can do a wash and go and be asked when they are going to do something to their hair 😮 I haven’t experienced any hate about my hair in my family but if I did I would stay far away from them because I will eventually end up telling them off whether it’s about me or a child. I will first try to school them first on hair to see the beauty in it but I find older people can be very resistant and then clean it up with a laugh. She definitely wasn’t wrong for styling the hair in curls so she can see the beauty. The other family is ignorant. I wonder was her hair type 4 and that’s why they didn’t like it 🤔
That combo worked great for your hair 🤩 You had movement, shine and definition 💯 I know I won’t waste my time ever doing a mousse wash and go because it never comes out right. Always looks good while wet but when dry and stretched it’s a poofy mess 💯 even with the Doux mousse everyone boasts about doesn’t do anything for my hair once dry. When I have great products my wash and go usually lasts 5 to 7 days 💯
Just because it’s a jelly and not a gel, I would try without a leave in to see the hold because a lot of these don’t have hard hold. It makes the hair soft but the definition is only kept for one day or while it’s wet. I like a little cast anyway but I understand how the very hard cast can seem aggressive on the hair 💯
This wash and go didn’t remain moisturized for more than a night 🥴 I probably should’ve added more gel, but let me know what you think I should’ve done below
I have 4b/4c hair. This is my go to gel. I can tell by your application and ending results before drying that you didn't put enough on. This helps is not like others where you have to be afraid that it will flake. You know you put the right amount on when you hair feels slick after applying it, you will get definition, no flaking and hold for 5-6 days.
I’m happy this gel works for you! In another video, I used a lot more than I did in this video however I still wasn’t a fan of the gel. I’m sure someone else will adore the gel as much as you seem to 🙏🏾
