What? You like the heavy clutch's on the old defenders? Its a pain when you drive them for too long. But yes, I do agree, the design dosent look utilitarian as the old defenders. But, the tech is better for sure
@@mclofi1729 never had any problem with the clutch, at all . The old one was a utility vehicle, you know , not the suburban , soccer mom's car like the one in the video.
This body style of land rover is the best, better than these new body style they are coming with , they ruin this brand by changing the looks of the land rovers now .. grrrrrrrr
Junk. Nice looks but the whole idea of a land rover is it being able to offroad. These have no clearance low approve and departure angles and I listen to the AWD slipping on everything. Wheres the locking diffs and ability to climb anything. Give me a defender.
I was wheeling my '08 FJC out there at the Chiva falls trail in Redington Pass the day they were taking these down the trail for a test drive. At first I thought I was seeing the equivalent of a dude ranch operation, with all the trail guides involved in helping these drivers navigate the obstacles. It wan't until later that I realized this was a capability test for the vehicles. I got some decent video of these guys making their way down the 3 feathers obstacle before my son and I hopped back in the YOTA and headed off to Chiva. Video never does a good job of capturing the extreme terrain, but these guys navigated the most significant obstacles on the trail before turning around and heading back up.
We saw you! This was an event for dealers before they released the vehicles to the general public. It was my first time to Arizona and fell in love with the weather and landscape. Hopefully everyone you came across was respectful. I meant to reply when I first read your note, thank you for responding. Hope all is well.
Lovely designed car but still can't believe they--land-rover-- went for a monocoque chassis instead of the trusted but heavy body on frame structure, which combined with adjustable suspension was just unbeatable offroad such as the discovery 4. It's the reason I stick with toyota, they just understand people who buy trucks/suv's. Some of us don't buy SUV's with the intention that they ride like saloons.
The Range Rover Sport was just redesigned for the 2014 model- Land Rover doesn't change the body-style very often. The original body was from 2006-2013 it will be awhile.
They should have just did a proper improvement of the Discovery2 (2004 version). use better quality materials and components to replace the cheap parts that constantly failed in the past. Widen, lengthen the body a little and replace that old shitbox buick engine and transmission with a proper straight diesel motor.
