Should have stopped BEFORE the parked cars, not alongside them but as I already said, a reduced speed or stopping as they did would mean both could pass slowly and safely but the twat on the bike thought "No, driver trying to kill me, let's scream, shout and dribble at him", personally I would have stopped alongside and been like "Cheers but for stopping but maybe a little sooner before any obstructions on your side of the road next time there's oncoming traffic please?" and left it at that.
In this situation, stopping the vehicle in good time leaving as much space to the right for the more vulnerable road-user to pass at his own pace would have been the the only way to 'give way' to the cyclist, and would have been the right thing to do. Oh look, that's exactly what he did.
I'm a cyclist. This man is a disgrace. Probably got issues at home and issues with anger management. The nissan that pulls up behind him is further to the left than his is. Shouting at his pedals wont get him far either.
Technically, you should have given way to him and cyclists are actually allowed to ride away from the curb but that doesn't excuse his absolutely foul and abusive behaviour, also I do agree as a cyclist myself that there was enough room to pass there at a reduced speed, all it would have taken him was a touch on the brakes, maybe shift down a gear, glide to the left and you could have passed without hassle but he decided to give the rest of us a bad name, had you driven at him then fair enough.
The sound of the various engine notes trailing off into the night was incredibly awesome. It would have been better if you and your buddy hadn't been kaffee clatching and gabbing away like a couple of old biddies. ; )
I would choose the Aston Martin DBS or DB9 because the performance and looks of the Corvete are undeniable but the interior looks like it came out of a Chevrolet van..... Thats the only thing that probably turns away costumers.
