I did all this only to find out that power cable was okay. Disappointed, I assembled everything back, and to my surprise the laptop started working again. Maybe some contact has oxidized and disassembly fixed that, I don't know. So I guess, thanks.
I have Lifebook ah532, it is showing problems for charging, I have replaced with new battery. Now the problem is that for every recharge I need to remove and replace the battery again and again. The laptop is working fine when plugged in without battery. The battery won't get recharged as normal when we plugged, but when I remove and replace it starts getting recharge.
The soft music saved me having a heart attack, and it was going so well until 14.48 when you said "put back together".I will give it a go. About the clearest video I have ever seen, thank you.
The AH531 is an amazing laptop... I still use mine daily and its been so easy to fix any issues I've had with it over the years - and I am a rank amateur when it comes to fixing computers... Owning this PC has taught me so much about the various components... Mind you at this stage its a bit like Trigger's broom as I have replaced the HDD with an SSD; Replaced the cd drive with a HDD bay; Upped the memory and swapped the i3 processor for an i7; Changed the WiFi card for one that could receive a 5ghz signal; and swapped the usb daughter board after the original one broke... The only thing I haven't fixed on it is a broken USB port on the motherboard, which needs soldering back on.
I have a similar laptop, though I do not have the issue, it was great to watch this well put together guide, it was slow and detailed and easy to follow even for someone dense like me, great job bro
Thank you very much for the instructional video! It saved my mother-in-law's AH531 regardless her laptop had a different situation. There was nothing wrong with the DC connector inside the laptop. When turning on, the power blue light was on for 2 seconds then it went off. I followed the whole process except soldering the wire, and I cleaned up all dust. The laptop is working again.
Thanks for a great video. However I run into one PROBLEM. I cannot remove the optical R/W unit. After removing the one screw the unit is still tight in. Cannot take it out! It looks so easy in the video, but for me it is stuck in the laptop. HELP!
Try removing the optical unit in the normal position of the laptop (keyboard up). If there is a dvd/cd inside the unit maybe it hangs somehow the unit . Maybe try to remove the dvd inside before trying to remove the unit. There is a small hole on the front of the unit. Normally the unit should come out easily

For people searching for the cable: Official parts number: LPJ1630FU Compatible partnumbers: CP483553-XX and DD0FS6AD00. I bought a DD0FS6AD00 cable as it was way cheaper than the official part and it is a perfect match for my A531 (so NOT aH531) but I'm 100% certain that it will also fit that perfectly.

Hey there, i have the EXACT same laptop as that. When i turn it on i just have a WHITE screen. completely white. i can't do anything with it, although after about 2 mins, the screen goes black, then white again, and then i can use the Fn keys and turn the brightness up and down. Just as a Note, I can't even use an External monitor. Or maybe i don't know how to enable it. Can you plug your Laptop into an external monitor with a HDMI cable, restart the laptop, and tell me which buttons i have to press to get the other screen to come on. As when i try it nothing works, it just stays White. Can you help?
