Hate to be that guy calling out a vid from 15 years ago, but this shit is not on master difficulty, not with you doing like a 2:13 after two laps and being ahead. The AI will be in the low 1:50s after two laps. 25 seconds off pace but I'm supposed to believe this is actually on master? Lol riiiiight
I came back to this because I rewatched the first couple episodes of the anime and a similar song was playing before the semifinals in duelist kingdom.
okay so the off map shortcut in between advertisers billboards(after the destroyed highway section, jump grapple turn right, straight to the end, turn left, turn right, forward in between the billboards) isn't fast enough I see.
It's absolutely impossible that the opponent was exactly 1.0 seconds behind you for the longest time there after about 8 checkpoints in a row. Not a milisecond over or under. It's a shame they chose to develop code that was this lazy as opposed to more of a random and realistic performance by the ai.
I played game like 15 years ago. Just by seeing the track picture at the loading screen, the music instantly came to my head! Impressive Also.. looking now this track seems very straight after comparing it with Nebulous lol.
The whole point of the design of the tracks was to either hit another bike or make you fall off your bike. Mach Schnell was odious for that on the first playthrough. Superb design, it just wasn't an intermediate track hahaha.
3:19 Well, that guy's dead... Also I distinctly remember this course as a kid because of the music, but because I didn't understand the grapple mechanic, I always kept flying off the first turn unless I took it slow.
So happy to see this clip! I'm not much of a gamer, but this was a fave! I was trying to remember the name of this track because I was trying to match up the music that I remembered and it's in this track, the lower level specifically. If this game returned, I'd play it!
This game is insanely hard on Master setting. You pretty much have to make zero mistakes because the other racers were actually gameplay recordings rather than programmed racer AI which is why the opponent's are perfect on Master difficulty. This was done to conserve the CPU
I know this is an old vid, but just rechecking if you finished the race properly, that is, by hitting your head on the low clearance thing and letting your bike finish the race. It's not Jet Moto 2 otherwise haha
That's how I would always finish the race too hahaha. If you turbo before the race start checkpoint on the last lap, the slowdown makes your bike fall in the hole everytime.
