Bellwether Industries is a human-centric UAM company founded in London in 2019. The mission is to provide the most compatible Urban Air Mobility (UAM) solution for intracity travels with a safe, efficient, and comfortable experience.
Starting with the invention of 'volar', Volar is defined as a new category of private urban aircraft for intra-city travel. It has a hidden propulsion system, zero emissions, a very compact profile, and the ability to take off and land vertically. Bellwether's core mission is to bring urban air mobility to people's daily lives and minimise the damage to the environment including potential physical damage and noise, and to make the most efficient use of space and time.
The ultimate goal of Bellwether Industries is to build a brand new 3-dimensional lifestyle and to lead the world toward a more comprehensive urban mobility.
It's really cool it looks like it is from blade runner 2049 now to be realistic traffic would just move from the ground to the air so i don't really see what it is solving
yea design is dope af! That being said, you were meant to present at Dubai last yr, but all im seeing are fly car toys... I'd really love to buy some shares but damn, you killin me lol id love to see actual humans being transported in this aye, then i can start saving for one lol
I love this. I'm very excited to an actual hover car be made for society. As a business man that lives near the city and is looking to eventually move to the city, a hover car will definitely come in handy, especially if it can seat 5 people. I'm also looking forward to watching sports leagues that will be racing these vehicles. That is so cool. This is another good way to introduce how cool this kind of car will be. I look forward to building this car in the future, and being able to see different design concepts and suv versions of this vehicle.

I tried to email your company through both addresses listed on your website. Both times the email could not be delivered. Did you go out of business already?
I agree that this design looks really amazing but the problem with usage still remains. And that is the fact that any powered lift vehicle will never be allowed to takeoff from city streets or in your parking lot in the city. If there’s an engine failure or main battery failure below 400 feet you cannot use a ballistic parachute and then you’re just a flying brick until you hit the ground with a thunderous force. Imagine these things falling out of the sky on people’s heads…. You would have to takeoff from your private ranch somewhere outside the city and fly to a designated airport, which pretty much kills any idea of a “flying car”. It’s really just a vertical takeoff and landing airplane. For this concept to really work all the cities need to be completely restructured to be able to accept these type of flying vehicles to fly directly into some building heliport. For the foreseeable future this can never replace a good old fashioned car because everything is designed around cars and driving, not flying into the city.
I think this is the first time that I see a VTOL that actually looks appealing enough for someone to drop a penny and buy. This thing looks absolutely fantastic and the performance is not too bad, although should be a little hotter. Its 135 mph top speed is only good enough between short hops from city suburbs. As far as the name Volar… they stole this from Paul Moller’s coinage of Volantor for his original flying cars that never went any further than prototypes, although he spent millions on it. At least be honest about it…
Será el mejor de todos espero que salga en 3 años más ojalá y los hagan también para solo 2 tripulantes eso sería genial y más conveniente es muy muy hermoso el diseño espectacular 🎉🎉🎉🎉
It's just a quad-EDF drone with a funky housing. So, are all those cool intake-looking details literally useless, or is this just a test of the vertical mode?
This is currently the best real "flying car". others is just a huge quadcopter with a cockpit. but damn i hope i get to see a flying car without a propeller in my life time. the ones with like ion thrusters or gravity levitation.
Looks waaaaay to design-centric to me... There are so many parts and shapes on that thing, that are nothing else than dead mass in stationary/hovering flight (and forward flight as well I would suspect). This kind of useless dead mass is the worst thing you can have in a vtol vehicle, all of it's weight has to be lifted in addition to the payload by the engines - In this case even by those ducted fans, that are not very efficient at that job in the first place, compared to bigger diameter, slower rotating (maybe manteled for security?) propellers. Biggst problem to solve before vehicles like this have any chance to "take off" is how to give them sufficient power endurance and safety margins. With a design like this, you're sabotaging yourselves massively...
so a drone, they can make a shopping cart into a drone these days, all I see is a quadcopter, an oversized drone that seats one, there's always just a prototype that will never see production, I want to see a real fucking, jet-powered, super fast, flying car.
