what I did was switch on with mains boot up turn over take out battery while its on and then put back in, it worked for me with HP laptop

Tohle je poslední video, které jsem dělal ve Windows Movie Makeru. Má pro domácí videa skvěle praktické uživatelské rozhraní, ale výsledky nestojí za nic. Výstup byl tak přepálený, že jsem to musel prohnat ještě gamma filtrem, aby to vypadalo aspoň trochu použitelně.

i have abut same problem , i want to install and boot Mac on my vaio , but when i booted the DVD my laptop powered off , i unplug the battery then put it back , but nothing happen my battery capacity decreased from %80 to %0 and it says plugin but not charging , does that mean my battery dead ? my vaio model is vpcse

Exactly the same. Pressing the 'Battery Off'' button on the base for 3 seconds with a paperclip did the trick for me

and why should we update our BIOS every year? for buying the batteries every year :). Thanks, I won't going to update my any BIOS's on my laptops. For desktop computers its fine because they have no batteries :) . And after that, It mean that to update your BIOS is cost NOTHING.

Just pull out the battery of the notebook and put it there again. It worked for me two times!

I have got exactly the same problem with a Vaio VPCSA. It only started happening today. The guy at Vaio support told me to buy a new battery as my laptop is out of warranty by a week, but I'm fairly certain the battery is fine. Has anyone found a solution to this problem??

@NetDonkey It apparently isn't connected to the BIOS, it was just a weird coincidence.

Sony replaced my battery, it was covered by warranty. But the issue is here again now, so I will try the recipe!
